A very good stay here, looks like there has been a lot of work put into making the hotel look so good. Unfortunately there is no pool or bar at the hotel. You can use the sister hotel which is about 10 minutes walk away. |The room 101, was very comfortable and clean, with a balcony which had sun all day with a bit of shade in the doorway. The shower/toilet is smallish a large person may struggle entering the shower. The room was cleaned each day and towels every 2nd day, however you could ask for a daily change of towels.|No fridge in the room, you need to rent one, Air Con was efficient particularly as it was hot and humid at night.|Desk Staff were very friendly and a request for extra pillows was answered very quickly. Housekeeping staff were also friendly however their english and my Greek wasn't very good.|The only downfall was our expectation of what the buffet breakfast was going to be. In my opinon it was basic, Bread/toast, spread, jams, olives, grapes, bananas (missing one day as not enought), yogurt, 2 x cold meat, 1 x cheese, cucumber, tomato, 2 x cereals, Juice, water, small pastries and tea/coffee. ||Going by the turnaround of people we saw using the hotel it would seem to be a popular place to stay for short breaks 3 - 4 day. ||No noise from the nearby bars or restaurants and the roadway being one way was also quiet. There was some building work next to the hotel, unfortunately thjere were a couple of early starts. ||No lift, I believe there some ground and the rest are first floor rooms.||Contary to a previous review there was no evidence of this being a destination for boozy brits seeking a cheap holiday. It is near to Bar street, however there are lots of nice restaurants nearby.||Would certainly use the hotel again, perhaps without the...
Read moreThe room, staff and atmosphere were fantastic, it was a most relaxing 7 night stay and I was so impressed I have booked in to stay here again. The rooms are clean and bright large balcony area easy to get anywhere in paphos, the sea is only a few minutes away and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within a 2 minute walk in any direction. Highly recommended but book in early as it is a small hotel they book out fast one of the high lights is the bar it is well stocked and the staff make a fantastic iced coffee there is damn near addictive. I am editing my review with a short update as covid has now reached a point where overseas travel is now more possible I have booked a holiday to paphos again this year. Due to the excellent service and the pleasant time I had at the Pyramos hotel I have once again booked in to stay here if you are travelling alone or as a couple and want to experience more of the local culinary delights this hotel is fantastic for both price and location don't dismiss it as it only offers breakfast I found that I actually saved money by eating out compared to what it would cost to go all inclusive at another hotel that was alot further away from the town itself I can not recommend this hotel enough try it and you will not regret it. A small update as I have recently had another stay here ( May 10th- May 20th) this hotel I still by far My favourite in paphos it's not a full family hotel in the way others in paphos are as it does not have much for younger children to do but it is a fantastic hotel and if you are travelling as a solo or a couple that does not want to sit round the hotel pool all day and instead wants to get out and explore and use the hotel as a base then you won't find a better hotel...
Read moreGreat wee Greek-style hotel in the centre of Paphos, that I'd absolutely recommend for any length of stay. I wasn't sure about the night staff - the atmosphere felt a little tense when I arrived around 10pm - but the lady on reception in the day was lovely, welcoming and friendly, and she kindly gave me an idea of places I could visit during my very short transit stay. (That's the beauty of this hotel as well; it's close to everything, including nice places to eat and have a coffee.) My room was simple, clean and comfortable, with a decent-sized bathroom and walk-in shower with hot water - all I needed. I had some initial trouble with the lock on the door, but that was probably because I arrived late and tired! Breakfast is continental, nothing hot but that's ok, and as someone else has mentioned, it does the job. I enjoyed the olives and cream cheese; I do have a passion for Mediterranean food! Instant coffee and tea are also available Close to the harbour bus station, so you don't have to fork out a big taxi fare from the airport, and definitely a big plus when travelling light! (I didn't notice anyone with heavy suitcases on the buses, and I don't know how well that would work.) That the walk up from the bus station is through a lot of construction work on the main street is initially a bit off-putting - especially when arriving at night - and Google maps would do well to show travellers that there's actually another route to the hotel, albeit slightly longer. On the plus side, I'm sure the construction work won't be there forever. I definitely recommend this hotel, based particularly on the friendliness...
