Solemio — Restaurant in Paphos Municipality

1 word... RUDE!

My partner & I dined in and was sat outside. I ordered the Pollo Rosso and was disappointed due to the sauce tasting as if it had come straight out of a jar and the chicken and pasta was quite dry. I got one of the waitresses attention and told her that the food didn't taste great. Instead of asking me what could be done as an alternative she immediately got defensive as if she had cooked it herself. My partner was also disappointed with her food as her starter was salmon strips which looked like they had been just defrosted.

The reason for the 1 star review is that the manager came out to where we were sat outside and stood over my partner and myself and I kid you not, raised his voice at us, telling us that the food was fresh and we should of asked for something else before asking for the bill. At this point my partner felt extremely embarrassed as we were sat outside with people who were also dining in and they could see the altercation. I explained to the manager that I had spoke to the waitress prior about it and she did nothing but defend that the food was fine.

A couple of minutes later when the manager had left us, a waitress came over and threw the bill onto our table and just walked off.

Safe to say when visiting Paphos again I'll be walking past this restaurant and not going in. The way my partner and I were treated at Solemio was nothing but disgusting and extremely unprofessional. It seems that if you dislike their food you're automatically in the wrong. Consumer rights does...

Popped into this restaurant for a meal before leaving Paphos. Absolutely would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. The staff was unbelievably rude. My mother ordered chicken which was awful, clearly had been cooked at an earlier stage and just shoved into the microwave. It was hard and impossible to even cut. When we told the waiter this, my mother had to request for something different, which they clearly were not happy about. As we were just finishing our meal, a different waitress approached us to tell us that we have to pay for the chicken, which was not even eaten!! Due to her and her colleagues “thinking it was nice”. The waitress then spoke to my father disgustingly, telling him that she serves “people like us” everyday, absolutely shocking!!! The food was something a 15 year old would cook themselves at home. The floors were filthy. And after this the waitress stood over us giving us horrible looks until the moment we left. Do not waist your time...
