Just had a lovely family meal at Meraki Tavern in Protaras. Located on the main strip, easy to find, with a beautiful outdoor seating area. It’s light, open, and airy – perfect for a warm evening.
There were 7 of us, and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful. A big shout out to George, our waiter – he was chatty, kind, and shared some great stories about his life in Cyprus. He made us feel very welcome.
We tried some local Cyprus dishes like kleftiko, souvlaki, and sheftalia, and there was also a great selection of mezze. I had the sea bass, and it was amazing – fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour.
Portions were generous, and the local wines were very good too.
The staff were also very helpful with two less able members of our group. They made sure everything was easy and comfortable for them, which we really appreciated.

A great place for a relaxed and tasty meal. Highly...

So we can't comment on the food as we never had any. Shame as we were both looking forward to this place given the positive reviews, sadly for us it has been a negative experience and hopefully the management will learn to be more attentive to their customers and not omit...
Read moreSad that I can't rate this more highly, we ventured out for some tasty authentic Cypriot food on the last night of our holiday and thought this would be a safe bet.
First of all I ordered a strawberry marg and got served a frozen strawberry daquiri- not brilliant.
Starters were great and really tasty, we asked to swap the fish roe dip for something else and they happily did this.
Mains were where it all fell apart- it felt like they were missing the seasoning and ingredients that makes this food delicious. Where was the oregano, garlic, cinnamon? It really was a shame to have moussaka and kleftiko that had the magic stripped out of them in this way. We had nicer ones...
