AVOID AT ALL COST!
After our first visit 3 days ago, which we very much enjoyed and during which we had some amazing pizzas, we decided to go back last night and ordered the same pizzas. We asked again for some of the pizzas to be made with no mozzarella and for one to have added black olives. Very simple requests which any authentic Italian pizzeria would have no issue fulfilling. On this occasion, however, we were told by the waiter that after our last visit, the pizza making method had changed. Ciacco now no longer make fresh pizzas, the pizza bases are pre-made and therefore can't be customised. So if a customer doesn't like cheese or has a cheese intolerance, they need to still have a pizza with cheese on. So Ciacco advertises itself as offering freshly-made pizzas when in actual facts, the waiter told us it is no longer the case. The prices, however, have not been reduced to reflect a low standard of pizzas. We also did not appreciate the waiter insinuating that we had never had pizze rosse (no mozzarella) or additional olives during our first visit. The receipt clearly states differently. Aside from leaving us feeling very disappointed (and angry at being called liars!) with the food, the customer service last night was absolutely appalling. Needless to say we left and went somewhere else. Definitely a loss on Ciacco's part. There are five of us and during our first visit we spent over €120. We were planning to come back another several times this week....
Read more'Ciacco tagliatelle' house special was great! Properly al dente, spiced and cooked to perfection. Quantity spot on! Unfortunately three of us ordered this dish so no experience for other offerings on the menu. Plus a pizza which was also very good and a salad. This is a new place on the block so they seem to do their best to impress with the food and managed just that, as far as i can tell. Ambience was great. A starter veg salad was sumptuous and well oiled though i would've liked a little more balsamic in it. Italian wine was quite ok for the price. Happy about the service...went without reservation, it was almost full but gave us a table nonetheless even asking if we prefer a normal one or a high table. We took the high table and did not regret it. Refreshments ordered came in the usual tin containers, with glasses and ice, so i guess quality was whatever it usually is, for a...
Read moreThe best Pizza I’ve had so far in Cyprus. Good service overall, friendly staff with a nice seating area. We opted for the high seating with the cushioned bench seats. The bread that came before the meal was nice alongside some olive oil with balsamic vinegar and olive paste. Kid’s menu was good and value for money. Easy read menu and about average pricing. Easy to find and no need to book, walk straight in and relax. We also had an ice cream next door which was the only place I managed to find my favourite flavours, one being Stracciatella. P.S Some of the restaurants seem to like people queuing outside on the street, I personally think they are trying to get a better reputation by not taking reservations and saying they are fully booked until the end of August. I don’t like going to...
