Yianna Marie Restaurant — Restaurant in Paralimni

Yianna Marie in Protaras is a charming seaside restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere and attentive service, offering a blend of traditional Cypriot dishes and international favorites. During our recent visit, we had a mostly pleasant experience with a few noteworthy highlights and some areas for improvement.

To start, the warm bread with garlic butter served at the beginning of the meal was a definite win – soft, fragrant, and comforting, setting a lovely tone for the evening. As a starter, we shared the fried halloumi with zucchini, and honestly, it was to die for. The halloumi was perfectly crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside, paired beautifully with lightly battered zucchini – a must-try dish.

For the little ones, we ordered the kids’ chicken nuggets, which were ideal for my younger sister. They were simple, tasty, and served in a portion just right for a child – definitely a good family-friendly option.

Moving on to the mains, the moussaka was rich and flavorful, with well-layered textures and spices. However, it leaned a bit too much on the oily side, which slightly took away from the otherwise authentic and comforting experience. The chicken fillet with mushroom ragu, on the other hand, was decent but somewhat underwhelming. It was a safe option that didn’t leave a lasting impression, lacking the bold flavors or creativity we hoped for.

A delightful surprise came at the end of the meal – the staff offered us a complimentary portion of baklava. This sweet gesture rounded off the experience nicely and showcased the warm hospitality the restaurant is known for.

Speaking of service, the staff were friendly and attentive throughout, always checking in to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and quick to accommodate any requests.

If there’s one significant downside, it’s the portion sizes and pricing. While the food quality is generally good, the portions are on the smaller side, and the prices feel a bit steep compared to other local options. This might be something to consider, especially for larger groups or travelers on a budget.

Отдыхающие из Golden Star пользуются данным рестораном в рамках категории питания. У нас в HB, и на завтрак и ужин мы туда ходим. Постараюсь писать каждый день, в итоге оценка сформируется за 10 дней средняя. 21.08. Большая дискуссия по брони стола, никак не хотели давать свободный стол скраю и дали только на солнце. Ругались с персоналом с темой о том, что мы уже заплатили и в чем разница между нами и теми кроме с улицы. Конечно они хотят ещё с улицы зацепить. Отдельное меню на гостей кто от отеля. Еда вкусная, стартеры маленькие 22.08 Забронировали стол с утра, Конкретный номер стола указали. К вечеру даже детское сиденье поставили на этот столик. Заказали: Грибы с чесноком - вкусно Суп томатный - невкусно Баранина на гриле - жесткая, много жира, пережаренное Курица под соусом - вкусная, нежная Рыба под панировкой - мало рыбы, много панировки. Блюдо на 3 из 5. Десерты всегда одни и те же: Арбуз или мороженное и один меняющийся типа желе, пахлава и др. В общем пока сказать что все отлично не могу, Из-за конфликта чувствуется напряжение. 25.08. Добавляю информации. Теперь мы ежедневно бронируем столик, на вечер, который нас устраивает и находится скраю с видом на море. После 3-го дня бронирования, нас узнают и легко бронируют. Меню оказывается повторяется, на каждом меню справа под названием заведения, цифра. Сегодня 3- среда. Есть фото с цифрой 5. Посмотрим) Еда как обычно достаточно вкусная, салат из креветок не понравился, креветки водянистые и безвкусные 27.08. Похоже действительно меню для тех кто купил ужин повторяется. Сегодня был под номером 5. И все сошлось. Получается цикл неделя. Суп из овощей отвратительный, пересоленый и переперченный. Попросили убрать и заменить. Сделали fix, и даже после этого принесли суп и все равно такой-же. Салат и рыба непонравились. +десерт. Заказали чизкейк 2 шт, КОТОРЫЙ В 2 РАЗА ТОНЬШЕ ЧЕМ НЕДЕЛЮ НАЗАД. как будто разрезали один чизкейк и принесли как два. За это оценку...

Not sure if this is the best restaurant in Protaras, but it surely makes it very easily in top 5. I haven’t been here on a better restaurant so far and for me this is literally the best.

Why is this? Well, firstly the prices are very affordable. Secondly, the food is simply outrageous, see my pictures. Finally, the service was top class.

Back to the food, we had some very nice meals which include: grilled octopus (the best one I ever had), rack of lambs with pomegranate sauce, traditional Cyprus lamb, beef burger and as starters we had the soup of the day and some nice crab with a Japanese sauce.
