Myself and my partner ordered our starters and asked the very helpful waiter for his recommendations on the main. He sent his high regards to the chicken soulvaki and the pork fillet. When the starters arrived, the mushrooms were bland and rather tasteless. On came the mains, the pork was a quarter of the plate and an inch thick right the way around, no meat in the middle of it. A bite into the mains, my partner said try this, it's dry, I tried the chicken and it was hard to chew and tasted dry. I did the same with the pork and it was just fat around the edge of the pork that was overpowering. When I mentioned to the waiter about the concerns, he went away and didn't return, however, carried on serving other customers. 10 minutes went by and I thought I would go to the bar and mention it to the barman to see if he could pass the query on to the chef to make him aware. To my disbelief, he went outside in front of a full restaurant, picked up the chicken off my partners plate with his fingers and began to shout 'this is not dry, this is not dry' whilst rubbing it between his hands. By this time all of the customers eating outside (which was full) began to look. I simply mentioned to him that the chicken was dry to eat and the pork was overpowered by fat and not the pork filtet I ordered. By this time, who I thought was the barman, was actually the owner who was getting rather irate and angry, that I gave some constructive criticism about the chefs food. He immediately shouted 'get out, you cheap skate, get out, you want free food'. I responded by stating I would quote happily pay for the starter we consumed and the drinks we got and brandished my card willing to pay. He rushed up to my face, shouting again get out you cheapskate. By this time all of the restaurant, including the staff were looking and surrounding me. I have never experienced this in my life and after this, made our way over to Inamo Asian Restaurant, had a 5* service and meal, paying a little more that what we would have here, and thoroughly enjoyed it once again. We will not return...

Read moreUnfortunately despite the reviews and nice setting, this was the worst restaurant we experienced whilst staying in the area. The service was initially good - seated quickly and orders taken whilst accommodating a group without a reservation.
It then went downhill. The menu is NOT accurate in terms of dietary requirements. For example the fish soup is listed as vegetarian and vegan. Clearly it is not. The halloumi bread is almost completely feta and, despite asking what it contained, this was not mentioned. When we raised this we were told it was because halloumi doesn’t melt and the explanation that it was a “pie” should have been clear. It is not. “Halloumi bread” does not reflect what is actually a feta stuffed pitta. I looked in each slice and could see any meaningful amounts of halloumi.
The remainder of the dinner was unremarkable. Our plates were cleared whilst some were still eating and we had trouble getting the bill. We ended up having dessert at a patisserie down the road.
In regards to service whilst the main host was polite and courteous, some of the waiting staff were rude and would dump the plates before walking off. With such a plethora of restaurants there are many others I would recommend instead, especially...
