Bukowski's Bar — Restaurant in Prague

This place was definitely something to forget, as it is a stain on our otherwise very pleasant experince of czech people and hospitality. The interior is somewhat akin to a cave: smelly, dark and crowded - which worked well for the halloween atmosphere, but grows old quickly.

They do not serve food, only accept cash (wonder why huh). They have a single draft beer available (rest is bottled), a lager in 0,3l size, which tasted like a watered down pilsner rip-off. Quite a thing for a drinks only bar in Prague, the capital of beer. All of these were overshadowed by the dude working as a waiter, though mannerism, clothing (literally looked like some random guy from the streets) and tact were definitely not there - he was complaining (and urging us to leave) that we put two tables together so we would have space for 7 people - something that in proper places the waiters themselves do, and actually offer. This was the only bar in Prague so far, where I felt like not leaving a tip and left after tasting their beer.

If you are looking for an authentic place to get drunk, experience quality beer or just have a nice time, this is not it. Luckily, there are plenty awesome places...

Not a good CAKTAIL ba r AT ALL !!! unfriendly staff and the cocktails are not what they should be, a long island without coke and with some peach liquer (so sweet that i gave it back-no refund) is not a long island, long island is lond island, but that was horrible. also barmaid asked 130 Czk instead of 100 what should have...

This place promised a lot with its edgy interiors and a great locality. However, one of the rooms echoed so much we couldn't hear each other speak and the cocktails we ordered were not good (large group so we got to try 7 cocktails, all were lacking). To top it off, the bartender was rude when asked to identify the drinks! The bar wasn't even that crowded.

I hope this is an exception to the norm, given the great reviews on here. The locals seemed to be having...
