📍Place: it's an iconic place for us, we have been here in 2013 and returned in 2025. Very unique atmosphere with this ruin pub style decoration with random things hanging off the ceiling. It's right below the Zizkov TV tower so easy to find, but you need to climb a mini-hill for that. 🍛 Food: their potato pancakes are more thick than I expected, but very well flavoured and big portion. The chicken breast is prepared well, not too dry and also when I mentioned I don't like mushroom sauce they offered themselves some pepper sauce which was delicious. Read moreWe came to visit Prague and were recommended to go to Pivnice U Sadu. We arrived there around 10:30 p.m. and spoke with a waitress. She sent us downstairs, but we didn’t want to sit there, so we came back and asked her for a place just to have a drink. The waitress was very nice and tried to accommodate us, but the bartender (a red-haired man) was very rude to her, forbade her to seat us at the table in front of the bar, and then refused to serve us drinks at the bar. So we left. We definitely do not recommend this restaurant.

I’ve eaten at U Sadu before and usually the food is good, so I was really disappointed this time. I honestly don’t understand how a restaurant can serve food that burnt to customers.
On top of that, I also ordered a Cordon Bleu, and the portion was very small. The salad that came with it was not fresh at all, the vegetables were yellow and wilted.
Overall, a very disappointing experience compared to what I’m used to...
