We´ve visit this place after few years again and unfortunately can´t say they became better. We had mix grill for 2. Was ok, but wouln´t say great. We added also haloumi with tomato sauce which was very good. White wine was extremely warm, and wouldn´t say tasty. 1 liter of tap water for czk 60 attacking almost thief level. We added also half portion of pita bread and half portion of potatoes with rosmarin. I was deeply shocked, that half portion means 3(!) pieces of miniature potatoes halved and poorly served. You can imagine how look 6 small pieces on the medium sized table spread with oil and a bit of rosmarin. How much cost potatoes guys?! You should be more generous...! I understand you pay for all, but this make you bad name only. Service was, except of the first guy, chaotic and poor, I have to ask even for the knife. As they are working with the tablet doesn´t surprise me, we are living in the 21st century. Basically nobody came along to ask is everything is ok. Even if I told my point they were not interested. For that we left there CZK 854, what would be ok, if all is fine, what was not that case. For me is this place definitely no again and I´d find better places around I could spend this money having...
Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Olympos Greek Restaurant in Prague, and I must say, it was quite a disappointment.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt lackluster. The decor was uninspired, and the dim lighting did little to create a warm, inviting environment. Instead, it felt rather dreary, setting a somber tone for the evening.
The service was mediocre at best. The waitstaff seemed disinterested and inattentive. We had to wait an unusually long time to place our orders and even longer to receive our food. There was no warmth or hospitality, something one typically expects from a Greek dining experience.
As for the food, it was a letdown. The flavors were bland and lacked the vibrant, robust taste Greek cuisine is known for. The Portions were meager, especially considering the prices. It was clear that little effort was put into the preparation or presentation of the dishes.
Overall, the experience at Olympos was quite sad. There was no spark, no passion in the food or the service. It was an evening that promised a taste of Greece but delivered very little. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an enjoyable dining...
Read moreWith a beautiful garden, we thought Olympos was the place to relax after a long day. Unfortunately, the food was plain awful. We ordered a 720 CZK seafood platter for two, and expected good food, as it was on the pricier side of the menu. To our dismay, it consisted of very little pre-frozen food, no sauces and no sides (not counting the 3 cucumber slices). With the taste of grease and rubber, I can safely say it was the worst seafood I've ever eaten. As it didn't come with sides, we ordered rosemary roasted potatoes for 60 CZK. They looked like they had been made the previous day, spongy and lukewarm, with exactly two tiny rosemary leaves on them. To top it all off, the tiny potatoes were served on the TINIEST plate, definitely not enough for two people to share. We only ate two or three before telling the waiter how awful they were, yet we still got charged for them. We also asked for a plate with water to wash our hands in as opening the shrimps was a messy business. They brought us BOILING water, too hot to put our hands in. The beer was served in...
