Come for the atmosphere, leave with the slight disappointment of sub-par drinks and unprofessional service. As a Guatemalan born, Michigan raised, current Prague resident, I was disappointed with small portions, and only ‘decent’ (465kc+ for 4) margaritas. Now, before you judge, I weigh 104lbs (47kg) and eat like a bird, so for me to finish it all was not only a surprise to me, but also my fiancé. I was warned from friends that the service was terrible, but I’m positive and open-minded person, and wanted to give this place a fair chance. Not only were we asked to move from our reserved (2.5hour) table for another group only an hour into our dinner, but it took at least 30 minutes to receive any service. Newbie waitress was rude and asked me 3 times within 5 minutes if she could take my plate despite me saying I wasn’t finished the first 2 times. The bartenders were swearing and yelling at each other continuessly behind the bar (come on guys, really? swearing in Czech, and English?) , which wouldn’t bother me whatsoever, except for a dinner for two that costs more than 1,300kc I expect bartenders to act a little more classy. Let’s go back to our reservation situation.. The manager was completely unprofessional, demanding we move to another table because ours is reserved for a another group. Ok, but let’s try dealing with overlapping a table differently next time, las adelitas. But wait! it’s Cinco de Mayo, which means it’s busy, packed even...Excuse me, but that should be expected, correct? If you’re a passerby, sure. If you’re looking for good food, atmosphere, service, decent portion sizes and don’t prefer the taste of watered down margaritas, I highly suggest trying...
Read moreDisappointing. This used to be a great place for Mexican food but I think it’s been spoiled by all the great reviews and the subsequent increase in business. We went there for valentines night dinner. Total experience was below my expectations. The food was rather bland, dry and the portions very small for the price. If Mexican food should be anything, it should be bountiful. Instead this was served with sauces and guacamole in tiny shot sized servings, like some abomination of Mexican fine dining, but without the attention to detail or extra care. Service was mediocre, the tables too small for three, cramped and constantly shifting to avoid the waiting staff. Burritos were dry, tiny, mostly just tortilla with little filling in proportion to the wrap, and lacked flavor. The signature flan on the desert menu was sold out as well as 2 of 4 other offerings. If you want a satisfying tasty good copy of a Mexican experience in Prague, the burritos at Radost are much better, with great flavor and satisfying proportions. Even the fast food Mexican chain in Prague, Loco Burrito, is better. I first ate at Las Adelitas ten years ago when it was fresh and I really enjoyed it, but now I feel people are going there only because of its history and because it’s supposed to be authentic. My latest meal makes me think they really have lost their drive to provide a good value...
Read moreI don't have anything to say about the food taste. The taste is good. But business mentality is not. They brought tortillas fully soaked with the meat juice and destroyed because of that. When I tried to grab my tacos, the tortillas were destroyed because of the meat juice. And I didn't wait after food arrived. I started to eat at the moment. Then I told them these tortillas are fully soaked and I cannot eat tacos with them.
Instead of bringing new tortillas, they told me "Yes, that happens. Do you want to buy new tortillas?". So, they didn't offer me new tortillas. They sell. And they can only sell 3. I have 4 tacos with wet tortillas on my table, and you are telling me to buy new ones and I cannot buy 4. You brought me the food with wet tortillas and told me to buy new ones. Amazing approach. I will never go there again and I will share this story with all my friends who want to go there. This is a good example to show "what you shouldn't do in the food industry?"
I bought 3 tortillas, moved meat from 4 tacos to 3 new tortillas and ate them. Amazing...
