Olse offers an authentic dining experience with amazing food and generous portions at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is inviting, capturing a warm European feel with cozy decor that makes it perfect for a relaxed meal.
I tried the goulash, which was hearty and flavorful, alongside a spicy sausage served with pickled veggies, mustard, and horseradish. The spices were just right, and the sausage was perfectly tender with a great kick from the condiments. My friend opted for the salmon with potatoes, paired with a classic Pilsner beer. The fish was well-cooked, seasoned to perfection, and complemented beautifully by the potatoes, which made for a satisfying and balanced meal.
While the food and ambiance were excellent, the service left room for improvement. After finishing our meals, our waitress seemed to disappear, leaving us unattended for quite a while. We ultimately had to go to the bar to settle our bill. It’s possible they were short-staffed that night, but even so, the lack of attention was noticeable and detracted slightly from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Despite this, I would still recommend Olse for its outstanding food and relaxed atmosphere. A little extra attention to service could easily make it a...
Read moreGood food for the price but the service is very poor. We went here in the group and ordered food and drinks time to time. When we finished the food , it took waiter more than 15 min to take the dishes from the table after the second time we asked to clean it and almost cleaned everything by ourselves. However, there were only 2 tables with people apart of us.
While we sill had drinks and were enjoying talking and playing cards, the waiter came to us and pushed us to pay to leave the place faster and asked for the direct tip. It was almost 10pm, but the place closes at 11:30pm and there were still people in the restaurant. When we said we didnt want to pay a tip, he said that we should pay and go away.
The place and food is good but do something with the stuff. Until that moment, I dont recommend this place to be visited. The waiters name is Tomáš...
Read moreThe place was rather good. The prices are not that high compared the other places in the city center. The service is good, and the staff was kind.
The food is on the other hand is not the best for my taste. The base sause is a little blunt, I really missed the the caramelized sugar taste from it. The lemon - red berry souce - whipped cream was an overdo what not helped. The meat and the dumplings are OK.
Update: I had a chance to got information from local persons regarding the dish. One of them said it should be look like this, others stated that whipped cream and lemon slice not used by their usual reciept like in the picture. Lemon and whipped cream is in the souce not on top of the meat. Red berry is used by traditional...
