Chilli & Lime Vinohrady — Restaurant in Prague

NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY I had an extremely disappointing experience at Chilli & Lime Vinohrady. As a vegan, I asked if they could make a vegan Pad Thai, and the waiter assured me they could. The dish was tasty, but when I ordered another for my wife, she noticed the menu listed allergen number 4 (fish) for this dish. When questioned, the waiter admitted there was "a little" fish in it. I've been a strict vegan and allergic to fish for 16 years; nearly finishing the dish, I started experiencing an allergic reaction with facial redness and difficulty breathing. My wife, also vegan, refused to eat hers.

We refused to pay due to the risk posed to my health by their misinformation. The staff insisted on payment, claiming the dish was already prepared. After a heated exchange, I left a small amount to cover an espresso just to end the confrontation.

This restaurant not only misled me about their dish's ingredients, putting my life at risk, but also expected me to pay for their mistake. The service was atrocious, a stark contrast to the typically pleasant Asian hospitality. Not only should they have comped the meal and apologized, but their aggressive and rude behavior made a bad situation worse.

I hope this establishment closes to prevent future incidents. I ended up seeking medical attention and spent two days at home recovering from the reaction. A truly horrendous experience.

Czech Translation: Měl jsem velmi nepříjemnou zkušenost v restauraci Chilli & Lime Vinohrady. Jako vegan jsem se zeptal, zda mohou připravit vegan Pad Thai, a číšník mi ujistil, že ano. Jídlo bylo chutné, ale když jsem objednal další pro mou ženu, všimla si, že v menu je u tohoto jídla uveden alergen číslo 4 (ryba). Když jsem se dotázal, číšník přiznal, že tam ryba je "trochu". Jsem přísný vegan a alergický na ryby už 16 let; skoro jsem to jídlo dojedl, začala mi červenat tvář a měl jsem potíže s dýcháním. Moje žena, také vegan, odmítla jídlo jíst.

Odmítli jsme zaplatit kvůli riziku, které mi jejich dezinformace způsobily. Personál trval na platbě s tím, že jídlo už bylo připraveno. Po ostré výměně názorů jsem nechal malou částku na espresso, jen abych situaci ukončil.

Tato restaurace mě nejenom klamala ohledně složení jejich jídla, čímž ohrozila můj život, ale také očekávala, že za jejich chybu zaplatím. Služby byly hrozné, což je v ostrém kontrastu k obvykle příjemnému asijskému pohostinnosti. Neměli by jenom nechat jídlo zdarma a omluvit se, ale jejich agresivní a hrubé chování situaci ještě zhoršilo.

Doufám, že toto zařízení zavřou, aby se předešlo budoucím incidentům. Musel jsem vyhledat lékařskou pomoc a dva dny jsem strávil doma v rekonvalescenci z reakce. Opravdu...

Chilli and Lime is a great Asian restaurant that serves a variety of delicious dishes from different countries. My favorite meal is the Thai Curry Crispy duck, which is absolutely amazing. The duck is crispy and perfectly flavored, and the sauce is absolutely delicious. The restaurant's interiors are also very nice and pleasant, with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the restaurant, especially for the Thai Curry Crispy duck, but also for the other dishes that are very tasty. The restaurant has a great ambiance and atmosphere which makes it a perfect spot for a casual dinner or a special occasion. Chilli and Lime definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for a great Asian...

Hey hey :) So once someone will ask me “name me a place in Prague with asian kitchen that you like” i will call two places and one of them is Chilli & Lime. Food was beyond my expectations, i was thinking this is a place with typical Vietnamese / Thai food, but i was so surprised that the food was very good quality. I had the best Pho Ga i ever had. My fiancé was having the Phad Tai with beef, also very tasty. There is one thing that bothered me a bit. We were sitting outside and the material of the wood that the floor made of was a bit old.
