U Študáka — Restaurant in Prague

Walked in on a whim while walking around this neighborhood. Ordered the duck with knedlíky and zelo, and a beer. They don't take credit cards and i only had Euros so we compromised on an unfavorable exchange rate since the food ànd beer is so affordable. Very tasty and generously portioned. Great service. Impressive turn around time on food delivery, less than 15 minutes or so.

*Liked it so much came back a bunch more times ! Ordered the vepřové koleno (falling off the bone...a huge portion), vepřový řízek, vepřový a kouření řízek ( for big eaters it says on the menu), vepřové žebra. All great.

This is my favorite local style pub in Prague.. . for it's service, food, beer, ambiance and price. Best local meals I've had in Prague oner the course of a month. You gotta take the tram #9. It stops...

Dear Owner, I would like to share my experience with your employees, as I believe you run your business to make money. Unfortunately, your staff was unfriendly and, frankly, rude. They were unwilling to make a reservation for us and essentially turned away business. I just wanted to let you and others know that this is not a good place to visit. We will never return and will spend our money elsewhere. Can not comment on food your staff didnt allowed us...

Only had krokety but my friends' dinners looked tasty. Best was the service. Very cheery waiter, service was attentive. Atmosphere the typical Czech-style pub, clean, no loud distracting music, and none of those dreadful interrogation-like lamps that half-blind you.
