We were 2 persons eating around 18:30. In the restaurant there were a table of 10 or 11 and 4 other couples, not to busy evening. The service was poor and extremely slow, my starter they called tartar, but in fact it was an carpaccio. I like em both so no big deal. The red wine of the hose, said to be good Italian, and since the place is named "Wine cellar", I expected it to be good. I believe it was the worst glass of wine ever, and I've been given wine that has been open to long. The time between starter and main was under all critic, we were ready to leave when it finally was served. Nothing wrong with the food, though the sauce felt a bit "factory made." If you want a steak you are better of whit Jensens Böfhus, down the road, and I'm not a fan of them either. Very traditional building and decor, pretty big place with lots of seating areas all over. I found the menu to be a bit sparse, and not really sure why it's pitched as traditional Danish dishes only (that's why we went) as half the menu is burgers, ribs etc. We had the Duus Stew, which was delicious although the meat was slightly harder than a stew usually is, and the Fried Pork - tasty but hugely overpriced for 5 strips of (effectively) bacon. Service was pleasant and quick, but not attentive at all. All in all, a touristy place with good food (a bit too pricey for what you get), in a nice setting, where the mantra is to get you in and out quickly. We were a group of 14 who had forgotten to book a table for our long weekend in Aalborg. Despite the short notice, the amazing team here went out of their way to accommodate us. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and provided top-notch service from start to finish. On top of that, the atmosphere was warm, charming, and full of character — a perfect setting for a great evening. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this...
