Having visited restaurants across over dozens of countries, I have to write down this - my first negative review in my life.
We got a table in the terrace, and the waitress claimed that for this reason, we had to pay in advance, because they could not see us all the time (in case we leave without paying?!!!). We have never experienced this before, and I feel already untrusted and humiliated.
It took a long time for the drink to come. My 2.5 years old daughter was thirsty, so I gave her a small box of baby milk, and she enjoyed it – in particular opening and closing the lid. Then the waitress showed up, saying that our own drink or food is not allowed here, including baby food and drink. I do not think this makes sense, because how can anyone have good dining experience without giving a young child anything to eat? The stuff on the menu is not suitable for young children though. The waitress insisted that we should put away the small box milk (that our daughter was enjoy drinking), so I was a bit angry and replied in a negative tone that, do you have baby milk on the menu?! (I did not see any milk on the menu).
The big bottle of still water (that we ordered) finally came, with our glasses pre-filled with ice cubes (though the waitress did not ask anything about whether we would like to have ice in water or not). My old parents have sensitive teeth, and they become painful when touching very cold food or drink. They barely drunk anything.
The food came and my daughter tried one and a half very salty shrimp, and decided not eat anything else. Then the waitress put a glass of milk on our table (even though we didn’t order it - at least we did not intend to order it), and told us to put our box baby milk away, and immediately go in to pay for her food (half price for the buffet änd the glass milk). We tried to remove the box milk from our daughter’s hand, and she burst into tears. We could not calm her down for about 5 minutes, until we returned the box milk to her. She didn’t like the milk served in the restaurant, which does not taste the same as the box milk that she likes.
The lunch was ruined, and I feel angry and humiliated. I would like to tell everyone what we have experienced and I won’t recommend Siam Sushi to anyone, in particular not to families with grandparents and...
Read moreI used to really like A+ Siam Sushi, that’s why when my colleagues decided to hangout last Friday night, I recommended there. Despite the long wait every time after ordering (and at checkout), as well as the strange feeling of being repeatedly reminded that we had to leave at 19:30 in the last 15 min of our 2-hour eating time limit (we ended up leaving at 19:29), it was a lovely evening. However, I woke up around 4 am on Sunday and started vomiting like crazy with diarrhea! The symptoms lasted till Monday so I had to call in the day off - Only by then I heard the other 3 colleagues who had dinner with me were having exactly the same symptoms, two even had fever - so I guess it’s not difficult to infer what the root cause is. The worse experience started when we tried to communicate with the restaurant. One of my colleagues who can speak Danish called them first and waited for over ten minutes, no one picked up the phone. But after she left a bad comment on Trustpilot, the restaurant began to harass her with anonymous phone calls (every 2-5 minutes), and threatened her that, quote, “it is illegal to make false allegation towards us” 🙂 What’s worse, they also responded to her here and published her private phone number in the response (I'm not sure what they were trying to do), which I’m quite sure is actually illegal. In their response, just as with all previous allegations of food poisoning, they ofc firmly denied it and insisted that their customers must had contracted the disease elsewhere (though the only common connection my colleague and I had before getting sick was this restaurant). I’m very much looking forward to the restaurant’s creative response to this comment. And to those who luckily see this comment - if you don’t want to have persistent vomiting and diarrhea for 4 days, pick another...
Read moreThis was the worst experience ever. I was monitored in an inappropriate way while eating, and after I left, the bathroom was searched, as well as under the tables and behind the chairs—the entire place was inspected! Even worse, they justified these actions by saying that this is the way people should be treated. It didn’t stop there; some of the staff—who are also refugees like me—bullied me simply because I am not Danish. This behavior was shocking and humiliating, and it bears no relation to respect or hospitality. An extremely disappointing experience, and I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place 2 It is unfortunate to read your reply full of accusations instead of acknowledging the negative experience. Most of the negative reviews on your page come from foreign guests, and that is the clearest proof of a real issue in the way your customers are treated – not just a “misunderstanding” as you try to present it.
The fact that you went as far as checking the bathroom and found nothing, yet still continue to accuse us, only proves that the problem lies not with the guests but with your management and unprofessional attitude.
Guests’ experiences are not “exaggerations”; they are a direct reflection of how your staff actually treat people. Defensive replies full of blame and excuses only make your establishment lose even more credibility.
If you truly want to show that “everyone is welcome,” then start by changing the way you treat your guests instead of hiding behind empty...
