Tir Na nÓg - Irish Gastropub — Restaurant in Aarhus Municipality

I’m not giving this 1 star easily as I liked this place, even with the bartenders sometimes getting my order wrong I usually accepted that, but the only time I didn’t accept I was very rudely addressed which ruined my night. But today's incident made me so mad and disappointed in you. I will not tell the story because it infuriates me only thinking about it and its not the point of this post, but you need a quick lesson in hospitality or you’ll lose all your customers as you did with me. Edited response to your reply: What you are saying is not true and I will categorically say that he didn’t “ask very nicely” the whole interaction was rude and single minded. While it is true that I was consuming from another restaurant, the interaction was completely different. The waiter without even a nod or any form of greeting tried to push a beer on me which I refused, then he told me about the fact that those where your sitting places. I acknowledged this information and admit that it was within your rights. But I replied that I am waiting for some friends and we will come inside your establishment and we will order then, this happened while I was already half done with my burger and there was an empty table next to me, so there where spaces if any other clients wanted to stay. Things that didn’t seem to count at all, it was either I order in that exact moment or I move from there. I may seem that it was a conversation, but I have to say that it was like talking to a brick wall. Immediately after I finished my meal, I got up from your sitting area, which was 5 minutes after fyi, and decided to take a walk so I can calm down. I came back to the pub only to be pointed at from the bar and a bartender was making signs to the others about me, which made me feel very awkward and uncomfortable so I decided to leave. While I was leaving the pub my friends started showing up, and even with them proposing to go to another place I refused, mostly because I was very mad and wouldn't have been great company, but I encouraged them to still come there fact that can be verified by the waiter that I had this interaction with as he was 1 metre away as this happened. Fact that now I regret as you still consider that this was only my fault and are insinuating that I’m a liar. BTW you only addressed this incident and not the one about different orders, also care to comment to what the pointing and signaling was about? I’m more disappointed in you right now and my opinion about you needing a lesson in hospitality...

EDIT: We went again. This time the experience was much better, the sandwich and wings were awesome and we even stayed around for a few drinks after. I'd love to go again if this is what I'll be served. Ben, the staff, was awesome!

Went for dinner and was pretty excited, what a let down. The price is crazy. It is super expensive!!! We had starters (which was massive and nice only reason for one star), but the main was horrible. The pulled pork burger was super dry and fatty and the normal burger was raw. The staff was very sweet but kinda hard to grab the attention of, so we weren’t able to tell them about the food. After I paid (almost 900DKK) she asked how the food was and I told her it was horrible and burger was raw. She said “oh sorry” but that was it. I have regretted aince that I didn’t walk up to them before and told them the food was horrible....

The place is super nice, good atmosphere.

We went for drinks and food, however we were told that someone decided to close the kitchen early. So sadly we could not get food. But we ordered drinks and they were very good :-)

Since the kitchen was not available, we asked if it would be okay to get some food at Burger shack next door and have the food at our table outside (since most restaurants were near closing, and we were quite hungry), but were told we could not do that.

So we were left with no food options at all and we couldn’t get any food either from another place because of unclear reasons.
