Iki Sushi — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Food is great and exceptionally so, with the price of the all-you-can-eat option (as of this review). Service is usually also great, but there are two significant things that I experienced during my last visit, which diminishes the overall service experience for me: They had trouble all evening with their digital ordering system, leaving us to order via pen and paper, causing the staff to miss half of the rolls that we had ordered. There was one waitress in particular who constantly looked very angry when talking to all of the guests. Having been a waiter myself, I get that you can have a bad day once in a while, but maybe one of the other waiters should then pick up on it and try remind their colleague to put on a friendlier face when talking to guests. That's what my ex-colleagues used to do with me back when I was a newbie.

Besides these two points, Iki Sushi in Vesterbro is always a treat and my friends and I (usually) always leave very satisfied. I strongly recommend going here for inexpensive and great...

The first time I have experienced that the Ebi rejer (deep dried prawns) have some kind of lactose in the batter? That is what the waitress told us, very vague, never experienced this before, so my friend could not eat much since 90% of their menu has lactose. They had a cool feature with their iPad where you can choose your allergy, so we did, but then nothing else happened…so we asked about this feature and the waitress gave again a vague answer. We ordered and when the food came, we asked if this dish was the one that was marked with the allergy, the waitress did not know… I find it strange they the staff if not fully up to date with the restaurants allergy “feature” on the iPad and give vague answers when you ask about it. This was the worst sushi we have ever had. We came for all you can eat and barely ate anything. The sticks (salmon,beef,chicken & shrimp) - all COMPLETELY dry and unflavoured. Din sum and gyozas - overcooked, falling apart, sticking to the paper - we could not even eat it as it fell apart the second we picked it up. The fillings tasted extremely low quality and cheap. My partner is a professional sushi chef and was a head chef in several sushi restaurants around Denmark - the rice was horrible, toppings tasted cheap, rolls were falling apart.
