I am puzzled by Copenhagen standards because you get to pay a very expensive room that does not deserve even a 1 star. It is more a hostel than a hotel. While I was there, many people complained about the rooms to the reception. A lot booked online and were shocked by the poor quality. Old structure and a lot of repairs in the walls and floors are needed. Get ready to have to carry your luggage because despite having an elevator, it stops between 2 floors and do not get you to your floor. You'll still have to go up or down several steps. For the 5th floor you'll need to go up using the stairs. The duvets & pillows are not clean. They only change the covers. Sweat smells. Awful. I asked to change them. The drains smell awful. Solution: I bought and poured bleach especially after a shower (it is when it gets really nasty smelly) Tremedous heat in the rooms when it is hot outside. No A/C. The reception is not 24h so ask when they are there (you can't change your pillow if there is nobody to give you a clean one). The WiFi only works in the kitchen! Positives? A) Location. Ideal and really in the centre B) kitchen available next to the reception (you can cook your meal, get coffee and tea for free. C) the table with chairs in the room. If you don't get a good deal, it is really not worth it. Try to find something else worth your hard...
Read moreWas a cheap place to stay. For the price it was reasonable. A few things that I was dissapointed in were that the bed sheets did not appear to be fully cleaned or changed, the bathroom was very compacted so the shower practically ran onto the toilet. The toilet paper is made of cheap paper towel material (would recommend bringing your own). Nice location, again very cheap compared to the rest (about 140 USD for a 2 person room, per night) so you get what you pay for. Wouldn't necessarily recommend but at the same time I do not want to come off as if I were bashing the place. If money is your concern than this is the place to stay the night, but I will not be returning as I did not have as good of a stay as I could have, to be honest.
Lastly, the "Wi-Fi" was an absolute JOKE. Disconnects about every 15 seconds.. not sure if it's intended to be that way or not.. need to configure your modem or router! Had better connection from the Baresso next-door (which by the way is a great place for coffee drinks).
Thank you to the staff and employees for doing all that you do,...
Read moreYou cannot trust what the hotel-staff tells you. I called in to cancel a booking I had with Løven Hotell and was told that the front desk would arrange this. Still, I was deducted the full cost of the stay. I called the hotel to ask why I had been charged for the stay. The front desk then replied that they couldn't help me over the phone there and then. They wanted me to send a mail so that the right person would call me the same day or the next day. This happened about 4 times before I came in contact with the manager of the hotel. The manger would not help me with the problem. He replied that they have the guidelines on their site as to cancellations, and that they must be made over the net. He would therefor still charge me for the full stay, even if the staff told me otherwise. This only shows how little help they are at the front desk when they respond incorrectly, and let the consequences go to...
