Grød is an amazing restaurant serving a wide range of porridge and chia based breakfasts, or one-bowl lunches and dinners. Excellent for gluten free and vegan options. I believe there are 3 locations across the city, we ate at the Vesterbrogade restaurant.
My husband and I had breakfast here, he ordered 'Oat Porridge 1' (see menu photo) and I ordered the gluten free Red Berry Chia Special - perfect for me as I have coeliac disease. I dislike banana which came on the dish on the menu, and staff allowed me to switch this for a different topping (I chose toasted almonds).
We both enjoyed the food immensely, the ingredients are good quality and prepared with care by friendly restaurant staff.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable breakfast, lunch or dinner in Copenhagen - including people with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance. Vegan and gluten options are clearly marked on the menu - I took a photo...

I actually asked customers on other tables if there’s was the same, the lady next to us said the same and left hers. I did feedback to them. They said they’d replace it but as it’s cooked as a big batch I didn’t accept the offer, thinking I’d get more of the same. The staff tasted it and just shrugged. I didn’t sense they were that interested. It genuinely reminded me of the sea it was that bad, and I’m not adverse to salty food. Huge disappointment as this was my only breakfast in a country reknown for...
