My husband and I came here for dinner and each ordered the prix fixe menu. I started with a gin and tonic appertif, which was nice but nothing out of this world. My husband doesn't like seafood, but they prepared his salad without the cod that was supposed to go with it. I, on the other hand, quite enjoyed the cod in the salad. The combination of the cod and mascarpone with the bread crumbs ended up tasting a bit like a very nice macaroni and cheese! The gazpacho was quite refreshing, especially after a day of running around. The sauce for the orecchiette dish was quite intense in flavor but still delicious and counteracted a bit by the sweetness of the sausage they used. I had ordered the porchetta with summer truffles and my husband had the steak. My porchetta was good, but his steak was out of this world. The steak itself was fine, but the sauce was mind-blowing. It was only afterwards that we realized the reason -- they had accidentally put the summer truffles on his dish and not mine. The waitress apologized profusely, and we didn't have to pay for the truffles or a round of cappuccinos during our dessert round. The dessert was a rhubarb-white chocolate mousse with yogurt sorbet. I think the white chocolate was pretty hard to detect in flavor, but the dessert was still tasty.

The atmosphere was more relaxed than I was expecting. SAS so kindly decided to keep our luggage during the entirety of our trip to Copenhagen, so we had to buy new clothes to wear to dinner so we weren't in our sweaty travel clothes. We were worried about being underdressed, but in the end, there were many people in the restaurant dressed more...

This is a real gem of a place and simply one of the best Italian restaurants that I’ve come across in Copenhagen with very reasonable prices. The food is really authentic. This is not a restaurant that is just churning out dishes to the masses, you get a true sense of pride in what they do. Even my second course was a true Neapolitian style tasting pizza rather than the mass produced style that you see in most restaurants. One of our friends has a milk allergy and they were super flexible in offering different suggestions and the chef even offered to make her a special dish- something almost unheard of. We even tried some of their home made limoncello which was to die for! But it's not just the food that make it great, all the staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable. We got served by several girls last night and I was amazed at how all of them were super service oriented and all so friendly. The manager that night was Emma and you could see what a great team spirit she created with all her staff. The result of it all was a super great evening with really great food, great wine ( Try the Toscana) and bloody great service! Compounding that with Denmark winning 4-0, what more could...

Scarpetta on Rantzausgade delivered a wonderful dining experience that was well worth the price, especially considering the time of day and the overall atmosphere. The booking process was quick and easy, and the service was warm, simple, and aligned with the casual yet elegant style of the restaurant.

As someone who reviews restaurants regularly on Google, I found Scarpetta lived up to its reputation.

We started with marinated olives and unripe peaches, and a delicious burrata served with tomatoes, pesto, and olive oil—both fresh and flavorful. For mains, we enjoyed the grilled ribeye with rucola, parmesan, and lemon, as well as the grilled seabass, perfectly cooked and complemented by green beans, olives, and parsley.

For dessert, we shared the lemon pie with meringue and the tiramisu—both classic, well-executed, and the perfect finish to our meal.

Overall, Scarpetta offers great value, a welcoming atmosphere, and quality dishes. Highly recommended.

Way to noisy, yellowish lit from ceiling, not good for a date, and not cozy but many tables in a very crowded space, close to the entrence - very stressfull (even though we asked for a good table days in advance). In addition: the food has been way better: 1) Antipasti: Vitello Tonnato:- Thick cuts of beef and a very weak tuna sauce regarding the Vitello Tonnato on a small plate (105DKK) 2) Antipasti: Baccala: extremely small dish and very dry and way to salty and dry cod (95DKK) 3) Secondo: Pollo Milanese: completely dry and tasted only of fried oil (195DKK) 4) Secondo: Eglefino (over-fried haddock, raw parsley, fried kale and some slice of lemon-195DKK. 5) Desert: NOT homemade Tiramisu, ør Limone (way to sweet) seemed like they were bought from factory 5) wine very expensive compared to the price (400DKK for a 2020 Pinot Grigio) 6) 28 for a small greasy bottle of water We vere hungry when we left.

Nice looking restaurant but food is mediocre at best. They serve pseudo “Italian” cuisine in “tapas” sized portions in an attempt to gouge you. The fagotti in broth was way too salty and there was only 1 fagotti. The margherita pizza (it was a mini pizza) tasted like it was a frozen pizza from the supermarket. The dough was terrible. The asparagus risotto was mediocre. The agnolotti was under-cooked, salty and practically no burrata. The saving grace was the vitello allá griglia (grilled veal) which wasn’t bad. Service-wise they are way under-staffed considering the size of the restaurants and that they serve small plates (they recommend 4-5 plates/dishes per person). There were only 3 waiters with an almost-full restaurant. We waited quite long just to order and there was also a 20 minute gap between the first 3 dishes and our next 4 dishes.

Scarpetta used to be a 5/5 but is now a 3/5. Quantity over quality nowadays. Very generous portions but not delicious as they used to be. The tables are extremely squeezed making it a challenge to zigzag your way through without knocking something over or bumping into someone's shoulder. Waiters are not very attentive as you have to ask to refill the water bottles and to remove empty plates. Our starters were great (carpaccio and shrimps with fresh tomatoes and basil), however, the mains (anchovies pizza and rigatoni with lamb) were a huge disappointment. The anchovies and lamb were equally difficult to locate and they topped both the pizza and the pasta off with a mountain of parsley (photo for reference). Desserts were mediocre. This was our third time at Scarpetta and it has changed dramatically for the worse. Not sure we will return.
