Lyokoi - Sushi + Koreanske BBQ — Restaurant in Esbjerg Municipality

The sushi was great, no complaints at all there. However, there were other issues. We were given a table and were just left with a tablet and no introduction. It wasn't hard to figure out, but it felt very awkward, and we weren't sure if they would be back or if we were supposed to just start ordering. The warm dishes arrived in a reasonable time, but the cooked meats were all a bit overdone. The sushi took forever to arrive, like 30-40 minutes every time. This would be acceptable if it was a restaurant where you order a single meal at the start, but the single orders you make on the tablet creates an atmosphere where you would make lots of smaller orders. Furthermore, the restaurant charges extra for every piece you leave, past the first 3.

The Loyoki is a nice and cozy sushi restaurant in Esbjerg. The really friendly service speaks English and helps patiently with the menu selection, where a tablet with pictures of the dishes is also very helpful. The sushi was exceptional yummy and the wasabi spicy as hell. We barely managed to eat all and paid around 70€ for our selection for 2 persons, which is probably also a normal price in Denmark. Nice, courteous service. Food was a bit disappointing for its very high Google rating at our visit - a bit greasy fried appetizers, a bit softer fishes on sushi, very salty and odd flavored miso soup ... Also,, there were some missing basic varieties of a Japanese sushi restaurant, including sashimi options.
