La Dolce Vita | Italiensk Restaurant — Restaurant in Odense Kommune

I went here on a whim with my boyfriend. We stumbled across La Dolce Vita during our walk. It's in a bit of a quiet area/alley but don't let that deter you from trying it out. Our server Jakob was exceptional and welcomed us immediately. He recommended a lovely wine that paired well with our meals. I got the Pasta with Shrimp and my boyfriend got the Fillet with Green Pepper. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We both cleared our plates. We didn't think we had room for dessert but I'm glad we didn't pass on it. We got the Lemoncello Ice Cream and the Tiramisu. Both were great as well. I liked that the Tiramisu wasn't too wet (not doused in the liquor). The lemoncello ice cream was strong but it was a nice palate cleanser from the tiramisu. Overall our experience was such a nice romantic dinner night out with great service by Jakob. We definitely will be coming back! It seems like they have a monthly wine tasting too which is cool. I want to try...

The real and true italian restaurant where the owner it's a true italian man with a lot of passion for food and for feel the people comfortable like in a italian home:) the food tastes like in a italian house where the grandfather prepares the pasta the sunday morning for the family lunch! One of.the best small italy not in Italy... i always visit this place when in Odense . As a Italian i can say that the quality of the food it's like at home:) always visiting with my wife and my son and we are always so happy to be there! Good and well-presented food in a relaxed atmosphere. I asked for medium-rare for the steak and got something that was at least medium. It was still pretty good, but could have been better had it been fried less. I know I could complain and I'm sure they would deal with it nicely, but I don't want first to watch my wife eat and then have her watch me eat, so I don't send food back. I got half a bottle of redwine that I can't find on their web menu; it was not their house wine, but slightly more expensive - and pleasant! My wife was happy with her salmon and her glass...
