We made reservations at Le Bohème on our recent stay at the Lopesan Bávaro resort. Unfortunately, the wifi did not extend to this part of the resort (because it is all the way in the back and far away from the main part of the resort) and therefore we could not access our resort app or the internet to see the menu. The waitress was not helpful at all. She just looked at me as though to say there’s nothing she can do. She did not even try to problem-solve the situation. As a guest, I had to do all the work. I had to suggest that she tell me some of the menu items (afterall she has been working there for a while and have been taking orders from other guests), ask another member of staff who has internet to help out, or ask the cook to share the menu, or offer a physical copy of the menu. She did not apologize for the inconvenience and did not seem eager to help us. My impression of the situation was that anything that deviates from her usual tasks, she has difficulties taking initiative. Beyond the terrible service, the onion soup was too sour and I had only 2 spoons of it. The foie gras casserole tasted awful, the duck magret was too dry (the waitress asked me if I wanted medium rare but it was over-cooked -defeats the whole purpose of asking me how I wanted it to be cooked), we ordered 3 desserts for our table and we were only offered 2. All in all, very...
Read moreFirst and foremost I have to say that Lopesan resort is an excellent resort. This "French" restaurant is the only restaurant that dissaponted the most. The food was bland, tasteless, and cold. I had the salmon which was overcooked and super dry, my husband had the steak, also overcooked. They didn't have any kids options, they offered grilled chicken and fried potatoes, kids did not like it. Compared with the rest of the restaurants the service here was poor, I had to call our waitress several times before getting what I needed. Please change the restaurant decor there is only drawings of dogs. Nothing French about it. A picture of the Eifel tower, le Arc du Triunf. Things like that, my 6 yrs old said that the decor was creepy. Overall, the worst restaurant in the resort. Is really a shame, as all other restaurants were...
Read moreI recently dined at La Bohem and had a mixed experience. The service was exceptional, with Eduard standing out as an amazing server. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring that we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our visit.
However, the food did not meet our expectations for authentic French cuisine. Unfortunately, every dish we tried was overly sweet, which overshadowed the delicate flavors typically associated with French cooking. While the ambiance and service were top-notch, the overly sweet food was a significant disappointment.
Overall, La Bohem excels in service and atmosphere, thanks to servers like Eduard, but the kitchen could benefit from a more traditional approach to...
