In my and my wife's opinion this is the best restaurant on the Barcelo Bavaro Grand resort property.
We ate here twice on our trip in August of 2018. The meals started with a palette warming soup in a small glass. We had a broccoli soup the first time and a mushroom soup the second time. Both were fabulous.
If you enjoy a good steak, then the ribeye is done to perfection. I always try to get something different from my wife and she has recently become quick to order the Ribeye. I might have to rethink my idea of caring about trying more of the menu options when we travel :)
The pumpkin soup with quail egg was simply divine. Try it, even if you are afraid of the idea of an egg not of the chicken variety (It's hard boiled).
For dessert you have to try the crepes. My wife enjoyed them twice they were so good.

Chicken patte not as flavourful as the marlin.the plate felt bland in comparison. (4/10)
Marlin carpaccio wow. Smokey spicy delicious very balanced. Everything works soo smoothly. (10/10)
Scallops they just melt in your mouth. Very wonderful creamy delicious the carmilazed onion does wonders charred parm is wow. (10/10)
Mains
TAGLIATELLES with seafood. Felt very home made but like in a bad way. You every make pasta end of the month you have lots of veggies and your like meh might as well add them in there. Nothing special. (4/10)
Grilled lobster is beautiful with that squeeze of lime wow melts in your mouth the risotto elevates the dish wonderfully. (10/10)
Short ribs perfection thats all. (10/10)
Chicken surprise. Is very underwhelming nothing great about it but still very edible compared to other foods at coral. (5.5/10)

We got there at 6:15 and didn't receive our food until 8:00, the rest of our party was already done with their dessert. Two of us ordered medium well sirloin steak and we got them raw. We both sent them back and they came back with new steaks cooked more on the outside and still raw on the inside. The scallop appetizers were 5 TINY little bites in a sauce. The garden salad was some lettuce with 2 small pieces of Cucumber and 3 halves of a cherry tomato and a couple onion slices.
