Casa Romano — Restaurant in Las Terrenas

BLANDDD, the food did not at all meet the expectations of the visual appeal of the establishment. You would think the food is great but the cooking is horrible Literally, no flavor, I thought I didn’t have any taste buds . I order a pasta with shrimp. They left the whole shrimp did not even chop it up, left the tail with the eyes and the whiskers the sauce for any of our pastas had a big ZERO on flavor . The calamari was definitely deep fried, but you can tell that it have been frozen for too long that the outer skin started to fall off easily. Extremely small portions. I felt as if prior to delivering the food. We were told that they only had two servings left, but somehow three servings came out and the serving were than a handful small. The Calamari was a big, no no .

Service : When it comes to a “restaurant service” in any country , there’s usually a general understanding of what it is to what that Intel. Our server verbally said that there would be bread with our meal yet at the delivery of our meal. We were told that there was no bread. Bad timing ? The constant check in to a table should be frequent, especially if you are a restaurant, who typically receives tourist who are in need of certain things . Extra napkins ? Certain Condiments ? Exc Efficiency is Nonexistent here.

In conclusion, if you’re visiting Las Terrenas , and you even think about going to Restaurante casa romano or even drive by it PRETEND IT DOESNT EXIST !! You will save yourself from a sob story, or a DENT in your vacation !

Surprisingly good! I only ate here because my wife was hangry and refused to walk around any more looking for food. My expectations were low.

I was wrong. Our pastas were stellar. Perfectly cooked and the sauces spot on. Service was excellent. Decor and ambience - meh!
