Juan the owner, originally from Catalunya, Spain has cultivated a cozy, inviting, and truly authentic spot. Nestled in the heart of Las Terrenas, this charming restaurant lives up to its reputation and then some. The rice was perfectly cooked—moist but firm—with grains bursting with flavor. Topped with the freshest seafood, each bite was a testament to quality ingredients and precise timing. Hand served traditional style and beautifully plated by the paella master himself. Juan and Lucia made us feel like honored guests in their home. Their hospitality isn’t just friendly—it’s heartfelt. Reminded me of when I stayed in Catalunya and was happy to experience that joy again here in Republica Dominicana.

What an absolute GEM. This was the best paella I have ever had in my entire life. The seafood could not have been any fresher. The owners were delightful. We made reservations the day prior so they get all the ingredients fresh the day of. Seating indoors or outdoors. The chef cooks right outside in the outdoor kitchen. He let me see the process of making the food. The owner even held my best friends baby so we could all devour our food. We ate every last bite. The menu is not only limited to paella. Possibly the best paella I’ve had !!! Even compared to the one we had in Barcelona ! We got the mixed paella and even if I would’ve had the rice alone, it would’ve been worth it. Juan and lucia - the owners / cooks / hostess - are the best !!! Felt like being home at my grandparents . They are so friendly and loving — and it reflects in the food. They made the paella fresh as we got there - definitely nothing frozen or pre- made !
