My family and I were in Las Terrenas for 6 days. By the 4th day, we had already visited all of the restaurants on our "Highly Recommended List," so we decided to just walk around and explore the nightlife and see what we would find. We are so happy that we found El Alba. To us, it became a hidden gem in Las Terrenas.
During our visits to all of the previous restaurants, we had always had a hard time with the staff, I would like to clarify that it was not a language barrier as my wife and kids all speak fluently in Spanish. But it was more of just the way the locals are and how they are trained? When we found El Alba, we were greeted immediately by the staff who were very polite and welcoming. We decided to sit down and give it a try. BEST DECISION EVER! Our Kids got their burgers, and I got some pasta, along with some "Arepas" and natural juices. We topped them off with fish in coconut sauce, pasta with basil and actual vegetarian entrees, which made us very happy. Since the food was so good, we had to try a couple desserts.
