This restaurant is phenomenal. Our table was reserved in a private section of the dining room. Our waiter was very professional and truly a gentleman. Our Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio was chilled perfectly. The complimentary bread came with olive oil and a ton of cheese on top, it was incredible.
To start we ordered the Baby Romana Caccio e Pepe salad which tasted outstanding. The creamy dressing and the bitter salad greens was the perfect combo. We tried ordering the Croquetas de Bacalao however the kitchen informed us they had ran out, so instead we were given the Croquetas de Jamón y Queso. Still very delicious.
For dinner I ordered the Filet Mignon which was plated with a port wine and mushroom sauce, a purée of auyama, and potato cooked in duck fat. My girlfriend ordered the Casarecce Carbonara which had shrimp and a soft cooked egg broken up by the waiter at the table. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare and the pasta was cooked al dente, compliments to the chef.
For dessert my girlfriend and I decided to try the Coco Loco. We both agreed that it was the best dessert we ever had in a restaurant. It was like a coconut tres leches cake topped with a coconut meringue/whipped cream topping and a scoop of coconut ice cream. Wow.
I cannot wait to come back here. It’s definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. I’m from New York we have excellent restaurants everywhere. This restaurant is just as good, if not better. You must make a reservation here, you...
Read moreThe food was delicious. The staff was friendly, but too preoccupied and not really focused on providing the best experience (I realize when restaurants get busy it's hard to do that, but the restaurant was about 30% busy, so there was no excuse). The atmosphere was good. I wish they would lower the volume of the music just a bit. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be back to eat here again.
Their sushi rolls were amazing, the churrasco was cooked to perfection (tender, flavorful and right on point to the temperature I asked for, medium), and the croquetas iberianas (I think that's the name) were super delicious.
The drinks were also well made. It's difficult to find a place in DR that makes an old fashioned properly. This bartender knew how to make it. I definitely recommend this place.
It's a bit on the expensive side for your typical Dominican meal, but well...
Read moreGreat Italian restaurant with good food, great ambiance and excellent service. We were dining there on Valentines Day and the restaurant was absolutely packed, we had only been able to get a table on the terrace, but this was in fact a positive as the terrace/garden is beautifully decorated and illuminated with a great atmosphere. Despite being full, service was very attentive and the food excellent. On a return visit we sat inside due to the summer heat and humidity in the terrace and bar area. We ordered starters and main courses, all of which were really excellent, particularly the steak tartare, one of best I have ever eaten. The swift and friendly service was at least as good as any restaurant I have been in in the DR and vastly better than most. A little pricey, but certainly no more so than other restaurants of this level. Thoroughly...
