Hard Rock Cafe Santo Domingo — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

The worst service ever! I went to stay at JW Marriot Hotel for a week located at the same Blue mall as Hard Rock Cafe. Me and my son (13 years old) decide to eat there with one of my friend the last day at the hotel… we went during the lunch… my friend know the menu and she ask for that specific menu.. they dont ofert that menu becuse Is cheaper and less tip (10% incluid no matter what service and how much you spend or how many people is at the table) ok!!!! We good……. After we finish my son left some of his chicken like 4 pieces! I ask a container for his leftover …. I repeat! I never ask for a food to go! I just need a container to take my left over for my 13 years old son…. He waitress said NO, Im Not allowed to to give you a container because is food from Lunch and is cheap food… I ask for a please beacause he left his chikend and just eat his French fríes His stomach was hurting and my son ask me to eat his food later! I said yes! No problem…. I ask for the manager and the manager said NO! We cant give container for food from lunch. 😂 I repeat again, i never ask for a food to go! My friend and I was done eating at the table! He juust left his chiken for later! The they refuse to give me a container I ending wraping my chikend in a napkin and a plastic bag from the supermercado la sirena….. mind youuuu I get charge 10% incluid in my bill! Just 3 people at the table! Two adults and one kid. My son didnt finish his food and they refuse to give me a container ! They saw me wrapin everything like a animal in a plastic bag and the manager (a woman) she just turn her back… people arround me was wondering and very disappointed with the situation.

But 3 days before that i was there during the night shift I order arround 6 appetizer and couple drinks just to watch the soccer game between argentina and colombia and I put them to go after I pick some of that beacause was bad and i pay and get charge my 10% tips. I was alone with my son that night and I didn’t complain about the quality. the guy who serve me was great… i even get 10% more extra to him… I spend a lot that night and they give me a extra container! Just to take all my bad food to give then away to a person in the street… 🤣😂 thats funny how the situation change….

I repeat! I never ask for a food to go during the lunch! I just ask for a container for the leftover of 13 years old son after me and my friend finish our lunch…

I been working for restaurant for more than 13 years! I undertand the point of not give the lunch food to go! But! My leftovers! 😣😣😣 thats insane! What I suppose to do??? Left my food at the table???? They let me warp my food in a napkin and the waitresss and manager saw me! 😟 ok I just left with my chicken wrapong in a napkin and inpace it in a supermercados la sirena yellow...

Sinceramente parece más una discoteca que un restaurante: La música estaba demasiado alta y no pudimos conversar entre nosotros más que voceando, habían luces fuertes que pegaban directamente al ojo y molestaban, el ambiente estuvo complicado y difícil para pasarla en grupo.

Un solo mesero nos atendió a todos sin tomar nota de nuestros pedidos ni repetirlos para asegurarse de que todo estaba correcto, por lo que se armó un conflicto al final cuando trajeron las cuentas. Teníamos que alzar la mano por largos ratos para que se acercara algún mesero ya que no pasaban por la mesa a preguntar voluntariamente si nos faltaba o requeríamos algo, siempre tuvimos que llamarlo a él para que viniera.

El tiempo de espera se hizo eterno, y no estoy exagerando ya que el pedido de una de nosotros llegó literalmente 1 hora (y más) después, tan tarde que hasta nos sorprendió que a la hora de irnos no había llegado su cena aún. También trajeron la comida sin haber traído las bebidas primero por lo que varios se añugaron o/y estaban sedientos. Tuvimos que recordarle 2 veces por un postre ya que tardaron tanto en traerlo que pensamos que se habían olvidado. La comida en sí no fue el big deal, no estuvo mal pero no destaca por nada ni es memorable, el cheesecake tristemente sí estaba malo, tanto que a pesar de que todos comimos, sobró porque no sabía dulce ni agradable. Vinieron muy pocas papas en mi orden y no trajeron ningún saborizante opcional como ketchup ni mayonesa, vaina que hasta en los Pica Pollo hay. Pedí unas servilletas de más que nunca trajeron. Los baños están bien aunque faltaba papel para secarse las manos y había poca iluminación, habían nada más como 3 bombillos encendidos y se seguía viendo oscuro.

Y finalmente, las cuentas estaban mal organizadas ya que aparecieron pedidos ajenos en las cuentas del otro y pagarlos fue un revulú, más que al no asegurarse de las órdenes accidentalmente terminé pagando algo que no había pedido en realidad (algo más caro).

Para mejorar podría recomendarles bajar la música a un volumen adecuado si es que no hay concierto, porque se supone que a un restaurante uno va a pasar un rato con su gente y a platicar mientras comparten una comida deliciosa, no a estar vociferando como un animal hasta quedar ronco. Contratar más meseros, y/o si son novatos enseñarles cómo ser realmente servicial ya que se nos fue pesado llamarle a cada rato. Llevar una nota de los pedidos para evitar confusiones, y apresurar los cocineros porque diablo que en Blue Mall cobran por hora.

Fuera de lo negativo, debo admitir que los cuadros coleccionistas de músicos es muy llamativo, y estoy seguro de que el lugar es mucho más entusiasmante durante un concierto, pero sin eso deja...

I went on a Thursday with my my family who came to visit DR , I always take a look at reviews first to see what I’m getting my self into , I’m very much familiar with Hard Rock Cafe, Had Rock Hotel Etc. But this one 👎🏾 only this that was a bit tasty was the nachos with beef my entire family thumbs down everything I order Buffalo wings the bones were black not burnt the meat was not even real chicken I don’t know what it was , mother ordered the Messi burger she don’t know what it was she ate my wife order ribs not tasty at all little sister ordered some flatbread meal also not tasty only thin that could not go wrong was the French fries and drinks highly disappointed for a popular restaurant like itself could not hold up to its name or reviews is a shame ! I enjoy food I enjoy being out when something is not right it must be addressed yal got to do better won’t be going again...
