You definitely have to go here. You will not regret it! We had the dinner menu because we were hungry but the tappas looked delicious. The wine came first. I like sweet wine so there is a bias here. This is one of the best fruity light red wines if not the best that I had in my life and I had lots of wines on all 6 continents! For the first plate we had the salmorejo cold soup and the salad. I am not a fan of cold soups but I really liked this one. The salad had a sweet touch and it was exceptional. The dressing was on the side (balsamic vinegar and olive oil) but it was excellent without any dressing. Not sure how but the explosion of flavours made the dressing irrelevant. For the main dish, we had the pork shoulder, the pork stew and the cod fish. The cheek was oven cooked and the shoulder was a stew. Both pork dishes were excellent but the fish was out of this world, especially the fish and mashed potatoes. Then came the desert. We took the cheese cake and the lemon cake. They are actually souflés not cakes. The cheese one was excellent. Not too sweet and not too fatty. The lemon soufflé however was exceptional. I really don’t understand why this restaurant doesn’t have Michelin stars yet. They are much better than some Michelin star restaurants. They even have an inside terrace and private garden. I hope you will enjoy it as...
Read moreI chose a seat and then stepped into the bathroom and when I came back, my food and drink and things had been moved to a place I already said I did not want. There were 50 empty chairs and a dozen empty tables all around, that remained empty the entire time I was there. Not good. If a restaurant is very busy and needs to move a single diner to a smaller table that only seats two, I would understand, but then you ask the patron, with an apology, to select a different table, not simply move them when they are, literally, not looking. After dinner, I stepped up to the bar and asked to speak to the manager, and the portly, slightly scruffy gentleman indicated that I could speak with him. When I had related what had taken place, he said that I had a nice meal and said that I should “leave him alone.” Shocked, I politely asked for his name. He refused to give it, which is why I described him as portly and slightly scruffy because I have no other way to identify him. So if you are eating alone and perhaps even in a group, chances are not small that you will be treated with as much understanding and civility as I was. The food was good. The drink was good. The atmosphere was good. The servers were kind and helpful. The “boss”...
Read moreThe food was ok, the atmosphere of the restaurant was quite nice but you can truly see that there is a storm and chaos coming out from the kitchen 🌪. I think the restaurant has too many clients and you notice that the waitress are running from one side t another and that does not make you feel comfortable although they are very polite and well educated. We had dinner in front of the kitchen door and it was eve worse. Sometimes is better for a business to have less clients but then avoid a client who can witness this kind of situation by setting on a table in a place that shouldn’t be. Everything is not...
