My wife, Lynn, and I were in Independence Square and were looking for a charming place to eat. I checked Google maps and found this gem. It’s located in Palacio Arzobispal on the north side of the square. [A word of advice, don’t get distracted by the restaurants and their promoters along the way and make sure you go to the third floor where this restaurant is located.] We started with ceviche which was excellent. Lynn then ordered the Lomo a la Pimienta (Grilled steak in pepper sauce) and I chose the Seco de chivo (Special lamb stew). Both were prepared perfectly and tasted delicious. Besides the great food and a wonderful atmosphere the service was perfection. Edison our server was friendly, very professional and made great suggestions when asked. I highly recommend Hasta la...

After a little break, we ordered the top 2 deserts our server recommended and again, they were both a hit with our group. Service was excellent, the restaurant is nice and bright and comfortable and the food was...

Make sure that you try this place, their offer of a specially made local wine with the logo of the restaurant will pair perfectly with your food.
Pay attention to their entrance since it's a bit tricky to find, you must search for a passage in front of the central park in Quito, once in the passage, head all the way to the back! Ask the locals, it's widely known.
Hasta la...
