Benchtime Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Iñaquito

Loved the attention! The employees here are patient, kind and friendly to all customers, which of course is a plus to the great feeling of the place. Benchtime is a small space, clean, minimalistic and quite inviting. The drinks, desserts and bread you'll find here are unique, at least within Quito, and they taste just as good as they look. My favourite is the matcha melon pan, but choco lion pan comes close. Ah, and the matcha latte is so good (hint: if you prefer sweet things but don't want to miss out on the matcha experience, ask for a special vanilla syrup they invented here; it doesn't ruin the taste of matcha like...

Benchtime is one of the most relaxing cafes I've visited in Quito. The decor is subtle but inviting, and there's an outdoor area.

They also have a fantastic selection of sweet bread, coffee, matcha, and other drinks. I tried the Tomato Egg Plant Tartine, Mach's Melon Pan, and an Americano, which were all delicious.

The coffee is similar to what one might expect in the better coffee shops with professionally trained baristas in Korea while the baked goods are classic Japanese bakery items, Yumm!
