Lucia Pie House & Grill (La Carolina) — Restaurant in Iñaquito

WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET... I consider myself as a local restaurant knowledgeable person and Lucia is not a place I would recommend. The place's decoration is so impersonal and tasteless... in addition to that, paying 20usd for the "lunch special" which options are pasta or... PASTA... is way too expensive when for 10usd you can eat much better in nicer places... also if you want dessert is 7-10usd a piece of tart... (just to consider a whole mini cake from a Michelin star in town is 12$...). Make a better decision and chose to eat somewhere else... do...

The atmosphere is really nice in Lucia's. It is a bit pricey but seems to work well/better with large groups. I had a simple BBQ chicken sandwich which was pretty good. I'm not sure about the rest of the menu and its "American" feel. Many restaurants in Quito claim to serve American food but be weary that many of these places are businesses and trying to attract travelers. Nevertheless the food was good. We visited Lucia Pie House & Grill on two separate nights during our trip to Quito and were seriously impressed both times. Yes, it’s on the pricier side—but the quality more than justifies it. The pies are phenomenal—the amaretto and almond cheesecake is a must-try. Their pizza and burgers are also top notch—flavorful, fresh, and satisfying.
