Are you tired of all the Egyptians hassling you everywhere? Look no further, this place is ACTUALLY 0 hassle, the price is exactly what it says on the menu and signpost. Portions are large for the price, on the other side of the river for 3x the price you get 1/3 the food. Excellent value.
It's a simple beautiful family run restaurant on the nile and Hadad (owner/father) is a quiet and kind man. Grandma is in the back watching the bread rise in the sun, kids are helping with everything. It is a stark contrast to the hustling of many other Egyptians you typicaly meet as a foreign tourist who try to hook you in.
We just happened upon it in the night without looking up any reviews before hand, it was relatively close to our apartment. We gave him a chance and were very happy with the quiet service he provided as well as the quality+quantity of food. Ended up eating here for most of our meals during the stay. Highly Recommend the breakfast!!! We also ate for dinner and soups were great, kofta, chicken curry with the best rice we've had in egypt so far.

Read moreGreat location! Family owned, quiet and serene as it is situated on the bank of the west side of the Nile - away from hustle and bustle of busy city of Luxor. In the nice, peaceful and fairly upscale neighbourhood with with the the beautiful views of the river, docking boats, the city, and lush banana plantations. Meals were very reasonably priced yet plentiful, prepared with lots of care, very fresh and delicious. Loved their set breakfast - omelette, served with a small pot of delicious cooked beans, falafels, soft white cheese, fresh baked bread, and freshly picked greens and chopped tomato salad. Proprietor - Hadiad and his family were most wonderful host - very friendly, calm and helpful. He also owns a boat, which was very convenient, fun and easy to cross over to the city each time and back....
