Nile Rose Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Al Baairat Village

This place has been one of the best places we've had so far in our 2 weeks journey in Egypt.

First we had a couple of lemonades, they we're so good that we asked for another 2, the best lemonade we've had in weeks.

Then we ordered the Chicken Grill, they serve it with rice, vegetables and bread, it was tasty and the portions were great.

Lastly they gave us some Egyptian tea with mint as a courtesy and it was so good.

Then when we asked for the bill, they would make the sum in front of us so we could see they were charging us what it was supposed to be charged and without adding any mandatory tip, so that's something that someone that has been visiting several places in Egypt in the past few weeks really appreciate, the honesty and transparency, definitely something outstanding when traveling across Egypt.

Will definitely repeat tomorrow for our last meal...

I visited the Nile Rose every day during my 4 day stay in Luxor, and can safely say that it is a must-visit for anyone who's staying in Luxor.

First and foremost, the price to quality ratio of the food is amazing. You won't spend more than 100 EGP on your main course and if you're getting breakfast it will be even cheaper, while it all tastes great!

Secondly, the staff are some of the sweetest you'll ever meet in Egypt. We became close with Sherif and Ahmed, and their many cute dogs and cats who hang out on the terrace. Ahmed even drove me to an ATM on the back of his motorcycle after I found out I didn't have any cash for dinner!

This place is truly a secret Jewel of the Nile. We found it on our 1st night and had a chicken curry tagine...it was superb and piping hot which gives you confidence that it was well cooked. On the second night we had a mixed grill each and again it was piping hot and superb. 3rd night a mixed meat tagine and this was still actually boiling when served ! Yet again fantastic. The service is polite, respectful and caring. Anything you order is made freshly for you which does mean a wait but believe me it's wait for such fantastic food at such low prices. And whilst you wait you are sat right on the bank of the Nile looking at the views of Luxor Temple and Luxor city. What more could you ask for...We will ALWAYS...
