Hamada Market place has just about everything you need across from Freedom Restaurant. Abdul Rahman, the Shop keeper is very nice and always smiling. He never tried to overprice anything for us and was always willing to help us find what we were looking for. During our four days stay, we shopped at Hamada Market place often. We got to know each other on a frist name basis. Will definitely keep shopping at Hamada Market place if ever come back. Tell him Ibrahim the Amerikee sent you. šŸ˜šŸ˜Š. He will take care of you.

We were so happy to find Hamada Market while we were on the West Bank in Luxor. The guys that work here are kind, friendly, and just amazing people in general. Their prices are fair, they have a great variety of everyday goods, and their service was excellent. When you are on the West Bank, be sure to stop in and see them. We will be back the next time we're in Luxor and can't wait to see them again.

We were so happy to find Hamada Market while we were on the West Bank in Luxor. The guys that work here are kind, friendly, and just amazing people in general. Their prices are fair, they have a great variety of everyday goods, and their service was excellent. When you are on the West Bank, be sure to stop in and see them. We will be back the next time we're in Luxor and can't wait to see them again.

I came here because of the good comments about honesty.. unfortunately I learnt different. Thereā€™s one guy who seems nice, but at my second visit, the one working there wanted to cheat on me. I intentionally choose an item with a price written on it and he just told me a way higher price. I asked him for single listing of prices and when I told him, I can read the Arabic price on this item, he just added a little bit more to other items, to almost reach the price he wanted in the first place, so even that showed, that he didnā€™t give me the right price. I ended up only taking the ones with price and leave everything else behind. Also in front of me there were some older people who didnā€™t really buy a lot, but literally had to pay 1.630 EGP!! Absolutely crazy. Looks like not everyone there is honest- still be aware of what you buy and donā€™t take items that are 5times less in the normal...

Hamada Market is a true gem in the West Bank of Luxor! The owners are extremely honest, kind and welcoming.

They are conveniently located on the Nile River next to Freedom Restaurant. We stayed at the Spirit Luxor Luxory guest house and our host Mohammed suggested we shop here for daily groceries during our stay.

What a shock to find such an fair prices where tourists are treated as locals. Bottles of water 3EGP, egg 2.5EGP, and 25EGP for a loaf of bread. I'll leave Egypt with fond memories of this great...
