house of dreams holiday rental in luxor — Local services in Al Baairat Village

Loved the location, we much preferred the quieter west bank than the hectic east bank. Also, nice and close to VoK and Hatshepsut etc. Close to ferry terminal but for us as a family of 4 it was even easier to get a motorboat from right outside the apartment to take us straight across the river to Luxor temple for 100egp. Mohamed who manages the place is brilliant, really good communication in the run up to and during our stay. Organised a driver for the day for us to take us to Hatshepsut and VoK which was really good value (about a tenner if I remember rightly) as was another driver who he organised to take us to Aswan via Edfu and Kom Ombo.

Place is fully kitted out with everything you need, including a washing machine. View from the roof is really nice as well. Good value shop just around the corner (Hamada Market) who doesn't rip you off and superb restaurant (Nile Freedom) which does amazing great value food and beer.

I enjoyed staying here so much, lovely spacious apartment, great market and restaurant nearby and Mohamed and Sari are the best. Please make sure you arrange a Felucca ride through them with Muktar - such a lovely young man, it was a highlight of our trip. The service was beyond excellent even after leaving. I accidentally left behind my favourite dress and didn’t realise for a week. When I asked them about it they checked with housekeeping and said it had been found. They arranged for the dress to be sent by bus to me in Cairo, this required Mohamed to get a boat across the river and taxi to the bus company and return, so no simple thing. I got my dress back within 2 days of first asking and before leaving Egypt. Thankyou Sari and Mohamed for everything. When I come back to Luxor I will definitely stay here again. The apartment has really lovely energy too, very relaxing....

Sari and Ahmed and Mohamed went all in to make us have a great time during our stay in Luxor. More than providing a perfectly clean, well equipped and cozy stay, they went above and beyond in helping us arrange our entire trip in Aswan, Abu Simbel Luxor and El Gouna. They were more professional and more organized than any of the other tour services we contacted. And all that at a better price. We advise you to ask for Ahmed as your driver, he is a passionate, helpful and super nice person who can show you Luxor better than anyone!

Tips : don't forget to book your hot air balloon and Felucca ride through them ! Shop your necessities at Hamada market, eat at Nile Freedom and Abu Aya...
