Make sure how much you order and your check is the same. Like other people say they (mostly one guy who takes older in English) overcharged me double.
2 days go I went there and the same guy didn’t give me the change correctly, but I didn’t care because it’s a small amount and I’m a tourist. So I went back today and the same guy charged me double the price I ordered. This is the second time he tried to scam me, so I had to speak up.
Then, another guy who speaks English very well showed up and I talked to him. He explained why the guy overcharged me. Apparently, they automatically give you “a little bit more” because many times tourists ask them more. So unless you specifically say “small” for each item, they will overcharge.
Obviously, it’s not about the money, I don’t like dishonest people and scammers. If you want tourists to pay more, just make the menu for tourists like other...

We ate five consecutive days at andy foul and liked it very much, in particular the lentil soup (“lentil” on menu), baba ghanoush, falafel, fresh bread, and the hibiscus mint tea. Ahmad Ali always welcomed us with a warm smile and was very kind and patient! Two small advices: maybe best steer clear of their fresh vegetable platter and if you want to takeout extra packaged bread, make sure to check them for mold 👍🏻

The guys, even thou they don’t talk that much English ( as I don’t speak any Arabic word), but we understood each other and they help us to choose the best meal. The Alexandria cheese is incredible, falafel, mix salad, everything. There is no aircon but fan, it could be a bit sweaty but nothing different than in the rest of Egypt during summer...
