PIZZA ROMA . IT - HURGHADA — Restaurant in Al Hadaba

I almost never leave a negative review, but I think there should be accountability to maintain quality food and service. Tonight, I ordered two pizzas, two cokes, and tiramisu from Pizza Roma at 18:43 (6:43 pm). I asked for the food and drinks to be delivered to the Hurghada Marriott Beach Resort. He asked me, Mariat hotel several times. I'm writing it how it sounded when he spoke. I sad no and slowly pronounced it each time. He said ok and that it would take 25 minutes. Pizza Roma is a 6 minute drive from the resort.

As a positive, I will say the price was very fair. However, I after since about 19:25 (7:25) I kept trying to call but is was busy. That's understandable. It seems to be a popular place with a good reputation. I finally made contact with the same person I first spoke with at 19:38 (7:38 pm). Apparently the food and drinks were delivered to the wrong hotel. I finally put the hotel staff on the phone so he could talk in Egyptian Arabic. The staff member had to explain the hotel to him several times and then told me, everything is now good.

Our food finally arrived at 19:50 (7:50 pm), 35 minutes than he told me. We don't prefer to eat cold pizza, but we can. However, this pizza is not good cold. The cokes were room temperature. I don't know about the tiramisu yet. Very disappointing for our last night in Hurghada after we've been waiting to finally try pizza in Egypt.

All of this to say I will never order out from Pizza Roma if I am in Hurghada in the future. I may try dining in at Pizza Roma instead. I hope everyone else continues to have great experiences there. I've been to this place a few times and now I want to change my old review to 2 stars. Me and my 2 friends came here, I wanted to show how good Italian food in Egypt tastes like. We ordered 3 lasagna, 1 ice cream and drinks from Praha cafe. Ice cream and drinks were served fast, than 1 lasagna arrived after like 45 minutes, and two more portions were served after more than 1,5 hour. Food is nice, but is it worth wasting your time? I bet they just forgot about our food (we were only people waiting, so can't blame on how busy the kitchen was), and started cooking after we reminded them. If you have a lot of free time - come here, but it will be much faster if you just cook it yourself. I used to recommend this place to other people before, but I definitely do not recommend...

I was about to give this place a two-star review because the pizza we had was one of the worst we've ever had in a restaurant. First of all, the pizza crust/base was similar to the "instant pizza" you can make from Lidl dough. Second, it was raw. Third, the ingredients (broccoli, mushrooms) were from a freezer. Combine these, and the ancestors of Italian pizza makers would turn in their graves. The broccoli soup had a nice taste, though—bonus points for that.

The reason for the one-star review is the payment situation. The waiter insisted that we pay in cash because the "machine was broken." We didn’t have any cash and were not willing to withdraw money due to high fees. To our "surprise," the machine started working two minutes later. A classic...
