So much potential but SO disappointing! My husband (Egyptian) arranged for a private dinner ride for the two of us. The boat looks as pictured and was clean.
I couldn’t have imagined things being so poorly thought out and executed. We arrived on time, but it took 40 minutes before they were ready to ”sail”. By sail, I mean the boat spun around in a circle in the middle of the Nile for the first hour. It made me dizzy when I looked out. They never went beyond the two bridges you can see from the dock. We knew that the felucca was run by the pharaoh’s company, but they failed to mention that the food and drinks were taken from the main boat. It seemed it had been sitting out for an hour before it was brought to our boat. It was very cold immediately. And they served it at the same time as the salads, and before we really left the dock. They had no food warmers on the boat, so we didn’t even have the option to have them warm it. We wanted to have wine, and we would have chosen to buy a bottle for 370 EP rather than pay the 300 pounds for the cork fee of opening our bottle, but they said all of the wine had sailed away on the pharaoh boat before our arrival. After going back and forth about that, they left the dock without a cork screw! The server actually asked us about the bottle, and we had to explain that he needed a tool to open it. They had to yell back to the dock and have someone use a motor boat to go get one. The same motor boat brought out dessert later which was at least warm. They also charged extra for water and soda which should have been included with the meal or at least for people who are paying extra for a private experience.
They think having a CD player is an amenity. They should at least not start the ride with playing the theme song from Titanic! We also had to tell them when the CD...
Read moreI recently booked an appointment via WhatsApp as requested, and I was asked to send a deposit via Instapay. Unfortunately, I encountered issues with the Instapay payment and requested an alternative payment method. However, I was told "no" with no other options provided.
Due to changes in plans, I had to cancel the appointment. To make matters worse, they refused to transfer the refund via Instapay, insisting that I visit their location in person to collect the money. Despite explaining that I would be traveling soon, they repeatedly cited their "policy" without offering any understanding or flexibility.
Adding to the frustration, they informed me that I would have to wait 7-10 days for the refund, claiming it takes time for the payment to process. This is simply untrue, as Instapay is designed for immediate transactions.
Overall, the lack of customer service and rigid policies made this experience unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. I cannot recommend their services based on...

I have a special diet and was glad that the company made some extra phone calls to us to find a suitable menu for me. After the trip, the lady that had arranged the trip for us greeted us personally at the café. We found the felucca staff very polite and professional. We knew beforehand that the felucca would not sail far away and that it always depends on the winds how far the boat can sail.
