A Truly Enchanting Evening at Sky Lounge – Crowne Plaza Pune
Last evening, I had the pleasure of visiting the Sky Lounge located on the terrace floor of Crowne Plaza Pune, right next to Pune Station — and I must say, the entire experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
I had purchased a voucher from a nearby outlet and, quite frankly, was expecting a standard service aligned with promotional offers. However, what I received was an exquisite blend of elegance, warmth, and top-tier hospitality that far exceeded my expectations.
The ambiance was serene and captivating, offering a breathtaking view of the city skyline — perfect for a peaceful evening. The food and beverages were served with impeccable presentation and tasted divine, each bite crafted with finesse and attention to detail.
A special shoutout to Mr. Vishal, who truly elevated our experience with his exceptional service, courteous demeanor, and genuine hospitality. He ensured every moment felt personalized and comfortable, making us feel more like treasured guests than customers.
From the seamless service to the delightful culinary spread and the welcoming staff, Sky Lounge turned out to be a hidden gem in the heart of Pune.
If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury, ambiance, and heartfelt hospitality, this is the place to be. Kudos to the entire team for curating such a magical, memorable experience. I will definitely be returning — and recommending it to...
Read moreA beautiful rooftop lounge with a pretty sky view with dazzling lights is what makes a perfect evening. Pair it up with tasty food and you are sorted. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy food with your people. Starting with Sangria and Tropical Hawaii Mocktail, I had the Prawn Skewers, Potato Bravas, Golden Fried Prawns, Thai Vegetable Spring Rolls and Chicken Satay. All the dishes were delicious in their own way. All the dishes were paired with their different in-house sauces. The spring rolls were stuffed with vegetables that had a Thai touch to it. Then I had Harabhara Kebab which is one of the best options for vegetarians. I also liked their Tandoori Jhinga. Murgh Malai Tikka was also cooked softly and nicely. Moving on, I ate the Chicken Gilafi Kebab which was also cooked well as it was not that hard compared to other places. Fish Koliwada was crispy and hot from out and fresh and soft from inside. At the end of such delights, I had to order their desserts so I tried Churros Pastry which had a chocolate mousse filling in the middle surrounded with tasty little churros dusted with sugar. Then I had the Lava Cake in which the chocolate was so meltful and heavenly. The Blueberry Cheesecake is to die for. It had the perfect amount of cheese which made the cheesecake nor less nor too sweet. One of the best cheesecake I’ve had in my life. This place is really palatable with a gorgeous bar to grab your drink and enjoy...
Read moreThe lounge has an excellent ambiance with a very good view of city. Although the lounge doesn't have live music option, it does have a dance floor and a DJ. The service is up to great standards.
The quality of the food was the other side of the coin though. We asked for recommendations and opted for 'Roghni Murgh Tikka' and'8th Floor Non veg Quesadillas' accompanied by some non-alcoholic beverages .
The beverages were fine with a ‘+1’ for presentation. The Roghni Murgh tikka was expected to be a slow cooked chicken having unique spices. But on the other hand it was just some normal chicken dish tossed with a few sauces and artificial red colour. Nothing commendable at all. Quesadillas were better but not worth it. It could have been much better.
The disappointment of the night turned out to be the desert which spoiled the mood. The worst cheese cake I ever tasted. The lounge sets a different benchmark of how worst a dessert could be. And I was more surprised to see the bill, since that cheese cake cost me more than 500 bucks. Nothing that we had justified the price point considering the lack of flare and below average taste across the table. It’s completely fine if restaurant is pricing high for less quantity, but I expect quality as compensation...
