Madhav Pure Veg near Sohrab Hall on Tadiwala Road, Bund Garden / Station, Pune is a nice place for pure vegetarian food. Extremely busy area with lot of offices, hospitals, colleges and metro nearby. So what is a plus for Madhav’s to start with is that - It has it’s own parking space/lot.
Option three seatings – one central seating, a garden seating which is quite and serene and upstairs an a/c room. One can have a small business meeting/ party here. Showcasing an open kitchen and live pav bhaji counter. Serves multiple cuisine with North Indian/ South Indian/ Chinese/ Fast Food. A designated chef for each speciality. The owners are a well established family in restaurant business.
Recently - I had lunch here We started with pleasant refreshments #Paan_Sharbat #Kesari_Thandai #Fresh_Lime_Salted_Soda
Paan Sharbat was very refreshing and Kesari Thandai was a super hit. I was informed they use Shree Guruji’s product. Really interesting drinks. One can opt for water as base or milk. In pictures you can see we opted for water base.
We were served #Veg_Manchurian dry that has less of bread and more of veggies. Tender and not chewy. Bang on flavours. #Shezwan_Dosa was sizeable but okish however the sambar is different . Made with coconut milk, necessary veggies like pumpkin, ash gourd and is not sweet. I Loved it.
Mains : #Paneer_ Rara_Masala #Dal_ Takda With Tandoori butter roti The Rara masala has super soft paneer and gravy well seasoned and finger licking good. #highlyrecommended
Dal tadka was brilliant and comforting.
#Madhav_Special_Amul _butter_Pav_Bhaji – a start dish. Made at the live counter, watch how its loaded with freshest of vegetables and dollops of Amul butter. Tasted so good, very Bombay style types! Coarsely crushed bhaji and pav together one feels goodness of street food at its best. Highly recommended must have try. #nottobemissed
#Royal_Falooda was a grand affair with nuts, jelly, cream, ice cream and shake. #Brownie_with_Icecream a delectable treat.
I loved the food at Madhav’s Pure Veg. The quality of food is top notch. It also tick marks all the boxes such as Affordable Prices Fine Dinner Good Service Vfm Parking Jain preparations available
There is scope for improvement with servers being more informed and quicker service.

We visited on 10th March 2025 at 7:00 AM and ordered a simple dosa, which was served. After finishing, we ordered tea – but even after waiting 20 minutes, it never arrived. When we politely asked the waiter, he rudely told us to "keep waiting" without any explanation. Since we had a train to catch, we went to the counter for the bill, and that’s where things took a nightmarish turn.
Terrible Management & Rude Staff The so-called "manager" was not just unprofessional but shockingly arrogant. Instead of addressing the issue, he outright refused to cancel the tea order—even though it was never prepared! He forced us to pay for something we never received and argued unnecessarily, acting like customers have no right to question their service.
Discrimination & Poor Service The staff clearly prioritize "elite" customers while treating others like garbage. Since we were in town for medical treatment, our clothes were slightly dusty, and it was obvious they judged us based on our appearance. They ignored us while hovering around the counter, eagerly waiting for tips from other customers.
Unethical Billing – Overcharging Beyond MRP! As if the pathetic service wasn’t enough, this hotel is also engaged in unethical pricing scams:
Cold drink: MRP ₹55, but they charged ₹65! Water bottle: MRP ₹20, but they charged ₹35! Fake Reviews – Don’t Trust the High Ratings! Most of the positive reviews are fake. They force customers to leave 5-star reviews in front of them, which is why their online ratings are misleading. In reality, this place is an absolute disaster.
Final Verdict – A DISGRACE TO HOSPITALITY! This place is a scam, a rip-off, and an insult to customers. Rude management, zero professionalism, unethical billing practices, and fake reviews make Hotel Madhav one of the worst dining experiences ever.

⭐️ Experience Details
Venue: Madhav Pure Veg, Dhole Patil Road (near Sohrab Hall / Pune Railway Station Platform 6 side) Visited on: [Your visit date] Dining type: Dine‑in / Takeaway
🧡 What I Loved:
Outstanding quality of food: Every dish—from the Pav Bhaji made at the live counter to the Paneer Rara Masala and Dal Tadka—was rich in flavor and freshness. The buttery, Bombay‑style Pav Bhaji really stood out .
Good ambiance & hospitality: The restaurant offers indoor, garden, and AC seating. The live kitchen adds a dynamic feel, and staff service is warm and courteous .
Great value for money: With reasonable pricing (~₹200–₹400 per person), it’s excellent for daily meals or group dining occasions with Jain‑friendly menu options . 💬 Why I'm Writing This
I just wanted to highlight the consistent quality and thoughtful touches in the menu. If you're looking for a pure‑veg spot that lives up to its reputation—with delicious food, cleanliness, Jain-friendly options, and reasonable cost—Madhav Pure Veg is a solid choice in Pune .
Special Thank you...
