Roji — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

A very satisfied lunch!!!

I came there according to my friend’s recommendation, along with some google reviews:))))

As a person who have been to many good sushi restaurants both in Japan and Finland, I can tell Roji is truly the real deal, the quality is just exactly what you can get from the a decent sushi place in Japan.

I ordered a Nigiri set with salmon miso soup included, I love their thick cut, rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned. But what made me amazed the most is their home-made tamago, which is very rare to find when most sushi places use packaged frozen store bought tamago.

Nice service as well, staffs there are so friendly and helpful❤️

Outstanding sushi! Beautifully cut and presented, very tasty! Had a Roji set. Nigiri had wasabi under fish, which is sadly a rarity in Helsinki. Good soy sauce and wasabi. Beautifully formed pieces, clearly hand-formed nigiri. Highly recommend, and will be coming back for more 🤤

I did not like the miso soup very much, the miso/dashi flavours were not very pronounced. It was also a bit too oily. On the other hand, appreciate having salmon in the miso soup, creative 👍 I did like the offered tea very much though, gemaicha was well-made...

As being a Japanese person, I’d recommend this sushi place in Helsinki among few others! Great sushi quality that met my expectation! Unlike many sushi restaurants in Helsinki, their rice was warm and done perfectly! Fish were cut thickly and were really good quality. I wasn’t a fan of green inari but everything else was so good. Price level is reasonable. It’s run by a few staffs so need to be aware that it might take a while before...
