Garam Masala — Restaurant in Oulu sub-region

Today we had a bad customer service experience. When we made our order, the waiter told us in very impolite way that we have to make our order in one go and we can't revise our order. But we didn't have idea of the quantity as it depends on restaurant to restaurant. When we asked for another curry after our initial order our orders were not welcomed with an excuse that they are occupied and expecting another customer.

Let me explain you point wise. It would have been lot better if you would have denied us THE TABLE politely. But when you decided to serve us, you need to serve pleasantly. We sat in table of 4. I dont know whether you had booking for 18 or 180. And after our checkin another group were given a table beside us. And they were a group of 2 given a table of 4 UNCONDITIONALLY. So you were was biased as well. We ordered JUST 2 food because we thought your food will be as bad as your customer service and we also not sure about the quanity considering the overhyped price, we didn't dared to experiment and waste. So we thought to oder later if we would have liked the food and we did that. And do you mean that you would have treated us differently if we would hav not ordered JUST 2 meal? Now regarding your freebies. We have not asked for your freebies. Not atleast at the cost of humiliation. And I don't know who charge extra for tap water( what we asked for) and empty plates? But even if was chargeable at your so BUSY restaurant we would have paid it if you would have asked. One last thing, we are not upset about what you said. We are upset about HOW...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Indian restaurant in Oulu, and it was a delightful experience. The food was a mix of flavors and textures that really stood out. The fish fritters were absolutely delicious—flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The curries were decent, though not the highlight of the meal. What truly stole the show was the mango ras—it was heavenly, sweet, and refreshing. The papadum was another tasty addition, perfectly crisp and well-seasoned. Even the mouth freshener at the end was a thoughtful and pleasant touch!

The restaurant’s traditional Indian decor added to the charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the experience even better. Very nice spread for buffet lunch, good value for monies.

Visited this place for lunch after looking at the review, but were deeply disappointed with both service and the quality of food. Very first thing was that, there were foreigners (non-Indians) who were two people and had comfortably taken table of four. But, when we weren’t treated the same way. They provided a very cramped space and when asked, the reply wasn’t really good and made it to another table after asking for it repeatedly.

Then while ordering food, when ordered for single meal and some starters since I wasn’t sure about the taste of the food. The staff reaction was so mean and irritating. Just kept the calm, ordered and had the food. Since, did not want to leave just like that and I don’t see a difference between them and me.
