If you want professionally cooked brunch meal, you should look away. Possibly the worst 28 dollar brunch i have ever spent on in my life that the whole thing can be put together even by a 7 year old. To start the breakfast basket is nothing but measly few slices of store bought brioche and baguette (i have seen them throwing back the leftover bread to the main basket) paired with 2 star hotel tiny jar jams, the drink was also store bought soft drink with added piece of lemon in a tiny latte glass, the salmon toast was just a thin soggy multigrain store bought bread, with Parmentier Potatoes also questionable consider the even sizing that might be from the store as well.
Lastly perhaps easily the worst tiramisu I have ever tasted, they called it the kinder, and the only kinder surprise is how it resembled a poorly made milk chocolate mousse, anything but a tiramisu. There's like a quarter of a non coffee soaked biscuit finger at the bottom, and very limited coco powder on top.
Please save your 28 dollars elsewhere, there's way better french cuisine all around,...
Read moreWe saw this restaurant while on our first stroll through Aix-en-Provence, and the name alone drew us in. A place called "the mama's boys" just has to have a great concept, we thought. And we were right. The decor is reminiscent of a teenager's room mixed with a brasserie kind of ambiance. Comic posters and statues, vintage tin plates and all kinds of other cool stuff on the walls, and the menu is a school agenda complete with TV show stickers and a bio of the restaurant's owners. We had the French Spritz and the Cocktail des fils as apéritifs and an avocado toast, melon and ham for starters, the mega cheeseburger and the "steak haché" as main courses ans finally the Kinder-tiramisu (yes, it really tastes of Kinder-chocolate!) and the cheesecake for dessert. It was nothing short of spectacular, the service was super fast and friendly although it was a busy Saturday night. If you’re in Aix-en-Provence and don't eat here, in our opinion, you're seriously missing out! Merci à toute l'équipe, vous...
Read moreWe came here for lunch last year in May. We were pretty happy for everything. and this year, we returned here with our son.
It was Wednesday lunch time in September. The restaurant was almost packed. We sat down and wait for a long time to order food as there are only two waitresses to serve. Then we waited for almost half an hour to get food. The table behind us even came here before we. and the table next to us whom came not long ago. We got food at the same time.
And the food is not as impressive as last time.
I dunno if there any change for management after the last visit. But we probably won't visit again...
