Went there last week and had a really good time. The waiter with the mustache was very nice to us and told us that we could also come with our laptop if we needed to do some work in the morning, which we did today, only to be told by a lady after seating that our table was "booked" for 40 minutes later. Honestly, we really felt that it was because we had a laptop on the table. There were other tables available outside, and I'm pretty sure that one around us would also have been freed before 40 minutes had passed. Pretty disappointed by this weird policy in France of pushing out digital nomads. The same waiter also told us about Drip, another coffee shop that also doubles as a coworking space. We also tried that one and spent $95 there. I'm pretty sure that we spent much more on average than your tourist drinking an iced tea... Also, why equip all your tables with plugs if it's not to accept people with laptops? Anyways, I can't recommend Drip more if you are looking for fantastic specialty coffee and/or coworking space. They have a 30 euro offer that comes with unlimited coffee! Can't beat that. Another option we also tried for our first time in Annecy is the Columbus coffee that has an upstairs room also equipped with plugs and that will not kick you out if you have a laptop. Coffee shops like Drip are for me the future of coffee shops. I hope things change...

Read moreOur breakfast experience at Haven in Annecy left much to be desired, with a disheartening encounter that overshadowed the meal.
Upon receiving our dishes, my dismay was palpable as I discovered a snail nestled in my salad beneath the eggs. This unexpected addition was unsettling, prompting me to request a change of dish. However, my discomfort only intensified when the server's response conveyed a lack of assurance regarding the absence of snails in another plate. This interaction left me feeling uneasy and eager to conclude the meal.
While the ambiance of Haven may offer a pleasant setting for dining, the unfortunate incident with the snail and the unsatisfactory response from the server significantly detracted from the overall experience.
In conclusion, Haven in Annecy may require stricter quality control measures and improved customer service to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience...
