Hot chocolate gate! Wow what an experience, we stopped to have a hot chocolate as they are so delicious in France. What we were served was some Luke warm milk sitting on a pile of coco powder. This then turned into floating powder rocks so I sent them back. I didn’t make a big deal, we had some crepes and they were ok. The bill came out with the awful hot chocolates still on there, obviously I wasn’t going to pay for something I didn’t drink and that was badly made. The manager was not happy, he started shouting at me over the bar, saying I was incorrect and that I should pay even if I didn’t like them. With so many amazing places to eat and drink in Annecy there is no need to bother with this one, unless you fancy ruckus with the manager. The waiters immediately rushed them out of their seats because they did want to serve dessert items without dinner. I was surprised they were so quick to refuse serve to a large party, but after my experience here I wish I had been refused service too so I could have eaten at a restaurant with any consideration for their customers.
The staff here will not hesitate to express their slightest frustration at you. Almost feels like you are catering to them, which I have never experienced in a restaurant setting.
