As a Canadian living in France for a year it's been hard for me to find a restaurant that could even match my favorite pizza places back home. After a year of searching both in Paris and Annecy, La Voglia takes the crown not just as the best Pizza, but the best experience ive had in France so far.
As absolutely delicious as the food is (and everything we've tasted thus far is, including deserts) items on the menu are affordable and priced reasonnably.
The atmosphere is great. The restaurant is right atop a small set of stone stairs in the center of one of the most relaxing area in Annecy and to add to it all is located right next to a rather large waterway traversing the city.
Lastly and most importantly, the staff. Every member of their team we interacted with was incredibly warm, engaging and made us feel like we were their priority at every level. One of the owners in perticular who is clearly Italian runs the front of the house and waiters tables alongside the rest of his team and will go the extra mile on so many level to ensure his customers are treated like family it's a highlight of his own.
All in all, i couldn't recommend La Voglia enough. Everything from from the food, the location and the amazing team will make this a memorable experience.

Read moreDisappointing experience - waitress was totally overwhelmed - 20 minutes to take the order, drinks took 10 minutes, water arrived as we nearly finished our pizzas - without glasses (no water glasses available). Wrong respectively no information given about the panzerotti not being fried but cooked in owen, suggesting 2 pieces (in the waiters opinion one wasn’t enough - which was juste false and in the end too much).
Pizza nothing exceptional, good but there are other way better pizza’s in Annecy.
Overall dissappointing, nothing more than a casual...
It started raining, so we went into this pizzeria because it wasn’t our first time there — it was actually the second time, and the last time had gone very well. This time, we came in with our two children, one aged two years and the other four months. They seated us at a table for four. When we ordered just one pizza, they told us we couldn’t stay at a table for four, that it was only for two people.
They took away the table and even our child’s chair, despite me explaining that the child wasn’t hungry and that we just wanted to share one pizza. They simply said we couldn’t do that. Then they removed our child’s chair, and we ended up outside in the rain with a crying baby, a child who hadn’t eaten — and neither had we. Honestly, it was a...
