La Yaute — Restaurant in Annecy

We ate here 3 times during our stay. The first two times, we sat outside and was served by Jimmi, who was really polite and friendly, and table service was good. However, the third night, we chose to eat inside which was a totally different experience. We were served by another waiter who was rude and grabbed the glass that my husband was moving and put it back in the same place. He was rude and we decided to leave without eating our meal. When we got to the front of the restaurant to pay the waiter that had been rude and served us came behind my husband and deliberately jossled and pushed my husband in his back with his arm. I did complain to the owner who said that she would speak to him and only charged us for half the bill. On the whole this is not a bad restaurant, but this particular waiter is bad...

Worse meal in Annecy Probably the worst meal in Annecy. We both were welcomed in by a lovely gentleman and both ordered the burgers

My husband asked for his well done as did I. They came very quick which I thought wasn’t a good sign and boy was I right. Twice my hubby had to send his burger back and when they finally got it right they didn’t even give fresh frites. Cooked burgers = cold frites and soggy lettuce.

My bun was a soggy mess.

I complained but the reply I was I will tell the chef

While we were finishing our drinks thé ever so nice guy was banging tables around us as it was closing time and didn’t even acknowledge us.

I did wonder why next door was full and the one we chose was empty.

Avoid this tourist trap and then thank me. They promote as a quality place for steak yet my entrecote was closer to a 'minute' steak as we call thin meat in UK. Barely 3mm thick, hardly what I was expecting. So very over priced with basic frites/salad. They also heavily sell the sauces for extra of course ( I avoided that). No doubt to cover the disappointing meat. Partners tartiflette was acceptable as a basic dish. Go there if you want that. Mind you, the actual inside space is pretty depressing to say the least.
