I came to this shop after eating at a great restaurant next door also found through Google reviews. My daughters and I walked in to buy some souvenirs. As we were paying the man at the register, the woman who was not friendly from the beginning accused my daughter of stealing a €2 euro key chain, AFTER I paid €29 euros worth of souvenirs- think of their illogical behavior. Let’s keep this short. Maybe if they were better shop keepers they would have noticed that we had ski wear on worth more than everything in their little sad store. My accused, top student in her school, daughter was in a Rossignol ski jacket worth €450. We were wearing Northface snow boots. My Longchamp hand bag was obvious and on and on. Clearly they don’t know how to judge their customers and are trying to solve France’s immigration problem with each one of us. Sad that we just came from skiing at a very exclusive ski slope in the Alps to finish our visit in this pretty city and had this awful experience. Even if you don’t have our means, no one should be treated as we were. I’m a CEO of a company, with an Italian husband, whose tourism business in France is worth 10 times this little ‘tabac’ store and am treated as a petty thief. Hope their karma comes to bear as I’m sure my review won’t change them, but maybe those reading these reviews might be sympathetic to people being treated unfairly. As a world traveling French person, I could leave this review in the 5 languages I speak, but I won’t since they likely don’t speak but French and thus will take them a bit to understand and I’m sure they’ll have a sorry excuse for a response. Go to Altitude 44 down the street instead for friendly service and better souvenirs! Looking to spread the word through other places to review as this city should be ashamed of these...
